Don't they pretty much play the same position? I mean, they can always try...

I'll believe it when I see it. That said, I hope it actually happens. Falling clearly a tier below another eastern conference team would make a rebuild a more logical path to take and an easier sell to fans. Still unlikely though.

Not enough to get past CLE but I'm sure the idea is to take the top spot once LBJ leaves next year since by acquiring George the Cavs won't have any real chance to win. I think if we were to bring back Kyle n Serge we could get to their level if we did some sort of S&T of JV and Corey for Millsap but our window would be smaller than theirs. We really don't have much a positive outlook for the next few years, I'd really rather we rebuild than try to work with a messed up foundation.

I'd be surprised if Hayward left Utah

Interesting. They'd have the assets to land a good big man as well to round out their roster. They'll have an excess of guards/small forwards. They could trade any of Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown, in order to get a rebounding defensive big (kind of like Bogut was on the Warriors etc).
Oddly, I think JV would be really good on this team (he's used to sitting the 4th anyways), though I'm not sure there'd be enough of a match there in terms of trade assets. Looking at the Celtics roster, they'd either be giving too much or too little.
Maybe Jae Crowder & Tyler Zeller for JV?

They can both play off the ball... it's not like pairing Harden and DD.

Both guys have the size and skill set to play either wing position really, I don't see any problem at all.

so PG13 and Hayward woud just watch IT take over in the 4th??...Gordon should be ok with it, I highly doubt PG13 would. Potential chemistry issues there

I know Gordon will take a second banana role in a big market, but you are talking about 3 players with high usage rate that ALL want the ball.
I don't see it working

Paul George is the least clutch player

Don't see it happening. Ainge is cheap hoarder. He thought Minny gave up "alot" to get Jimmy Butler.
If Ainge thinks the Wolves gave up a lot to get Jimmy Butler, you can just tell that he's offering little of value for both PG and Butler

For everyone talking about usage and IT taking over....
1. Pretty much every time a "Big 3" come together each player realizes they won't get as many touches as they used to and if there were ever some understanding players of that PG and Hayward are quite easy to picture being able to making that adjustment.
2. Keep in mind IT has such heavy 4th usage BECAUSE he has no help and no other teammates that can create for themselves. You might want to believe it wouldn't work but there's no reason why it wouldn't.

Maybe Im the only one who loves the fit. All 3 guys are true triple threats, while none of them is meant to carry a Lebron type load. They can all spot up from 3 really well too. Stevens is a great coach and this is the era of personal sacrifice for the super team.
The only question would be whether or not they have enough assets left to bring in the rebounding and rim protection they need.

People need to understand we are much closer then we think just need to minus those negatives and insert those positives with consistency namingly our bum starting 3 and backup Stretch 4 we would of been right there with the cavs

But he wants to be the star. He wants to make the clutch shots..just ask C.J. Miles
LeBron would gladly let him take those, in Cleveland.
As a Laker, he would get those clutch shots.
IT, Hayward, PG13...that's a bit much on perimeter. I cant see him settle as "KlayThompson"

Only one?! lol there's a reason why BOS is pursuing it...
There's NO question if they have enough assets hence why everyone is busting Danny's chops about being a horder. Butler who has a longer deal and never said anything about wanting to leave got CHI 7th pick + LaVine + Dunn. BOS could easily offer either the BKN pick or more likely the LAL/SAC pick + Brown + Crowder or Bradley and throw in maybe one of MEM or SAC 2019s and that tops MIN's package. They'd still have the one of the BKN or LAL/SAC pick and one of the MEM/SAC 2019s plus all the other young players Zizic, Smart etc...DeAndre, Drummond, Favors look like their franchises would love to trade them and it's not like they really even need a player that great but can just rebound and defend a bit. Heck they could probably grab Millsap and none of those names would even cost them a top 5-7 pick.
