Yo Masai's 3 yr plan might actually be a 1.5 yr plan. Masai has that tWo shirt printed.

Watch the Celtics get him with the 2019 Sacramento pick. But honestly, Masai needs to find a way to be bad enough to have a chance of getting him. The lottery is rigged to a tee. If you don't believe that, you are a very delusional person. If we finish anywhere between 1-7 worst records in the league in 2019 Adam silver and the NBA will gift us RJ.

If this team is bad to start the season...because the pick owed to Brooklyn is lottery protected 2018-2023 at which point it becomes 2 second round picks...if there is a plan to bottom out...I could see Masai pulling the plug on the current core sooner than later. Tank this year and tank next year in hopes of getting the best chance at RJ.

Can still do it. Like complete in 2017-18. Then 2018-19 comes (RJ's freshman year in college), and say Raptors start off horribly. Maybe an injury. then Masai can pull the trigger and trade away a piece..or two...or all of them and tank the rest of the way. This is where the injury excuse would work like it did with San Antonio to get Duncan.

RJ vs Zion vs Marvin for top 3 NBA picks in 2019? Wow! heck this is also Simisola Shi_ttu's year too!

Thanks for the information. Too far down the road to impact us but it's good for RJ. Unlikely we will be bad enough to get him but not sure if he is the generational talent that all teams should tamk for.
Ska needs to make a comeback.

Supposedly, Bagley could be in the 2018 draft.

Oh wow ya I just read that he's filed request to reclassify to 2017. Maybe that's why RJ did it bc he'll be more of a lock to be #1 if that's the case.

As much as I love me some young prospects, RJ Barret especially, I hate the idea of tanking for them. We're just now establishing ourselves as an organization that is committed to a winning culture. We have gained a lot of respect among nba players, fans and media. We're finally seen as a legitimate free agent destination, and our stars are finally staying and enjoying themselves. We're closer to the top than the bottom. Those of us that have been around long enough, aren't interested in going back to the gutters of NBA class. We are a couple trades/signings away from the Finals. I believe in our current core of young players, and believe you don't always need lottery picks to draft a superstar. Though they help your chances greatly, guys like Khawi Leonard, Draymond Green, Paul George, etc, weren't top of the draft picks/prospects. We're finally winning, and basketball in May feels damn good. Hop on board fellas

I've been saying Masai would likely keep the core together for 2 years and then move them before the final year of their contracts. Guess it'll be too late.
Happy for Barrett, but I wouldn't be surprised if we landed a top pick in a draft with no top talent. lol.

Having a winning culture like the Atlanta hawks is different than a winning culture like the warriors. Especially when the team is capped out

Raptors are still heavily disrespected

Bagley will be better than both Barrett and Zion.

You guys are dreaming if you think the False Prophet Masai is ever tanking, MLSE won't let him.
