I like the blocker slapping the backboard
The ability to call your own replay with R3

Don't like the way players move, it feels too robotic, not fluid like 2K
Don't like holding the screen button to keep the guy screening.

This post is ludicrous. The player movement and animation is fine.

I agree with Duff and anyone that disagrees haven't played 2k in years. The players do feel robotic on live 18. Especially when they go up for jumpshots. Heck NBA live 10 jumpshots felt more fluid than live 18.

The game is ok. The animations are nice except for the blocking and rebounding, looks a bit too unrealistic. Not sure why, either the players jump too quick or too high but it seems off to me.

I hope it does well, 2k needs some real competition.

Yeah that's a good call, it's too quick. I actually like the block animations at the time of the block, but getting to that point they do lift off way too quickly.

Yikes.

I always said that once they fell behind 2K, they should have gone down the route of becoming an NBA Jam replacement. Try to attract that casual fan for a fun playing basketball video game.

That's not the console version, that's mobile. i just realized there was no live 17, they skipped a year. I was talking about live 16.

Funny thing is there was a Live 17, but it was so terrible that they decided not to release it and called it something else.

I have only seen youtube videos, but I felt the same way about dunking. Players would elevate way too fast and too high, very unrealisticaly. 2k also has some unrealistic dunking animations, but not to that extent. I remember this being a problem in live forever. Blocking, same problem, when blocking animation triggers, its like a magnet it would attract offensive player and block in the most ridiculous fashion. I dont think I have seen enough blocks while scouting this game, but I can imagine it right now.

It's a bad (or lack of) physics engine. The feel of acceleration/deceleration is key in sports games.

As far as a simulation goes. It is not on point with 2k. Period. End of story.

Fun factor, I really enjoyed playing "The One" mode in the demo. Playing your way through Ruckers and the Drew leauge was almost more fun than I've had playing 2k in a while.

Check your settings.

You may have left Valanciunas mode enabled.

The A.I feels really good here. Not sure what you guys are talking about. The animations look great! Y'all probably EA haters.

Still can't get over how well done "The One" is.

I will spend a lot of time in that mode for sure.

The signature dribbling, shooting and dunk moves are spot on. Already pre-ordered.
