Cavs have announced they will show a video tribute to Kyrie Irving. I was thinking though... how funny would it be to tell everyone you were honouring a guy that asked to be traded and then just show a video of shots clanking off the rim, turnovers and fails.

It's hard to completely predict the actions of Dan Gilbert, but I can't imagine they'd do that to the guy who hit the most important shot in franchise history.

Yeah, ruin credibility for your franchise for the rest of existence. No player would ever voluntarily go to Cleveland again.

However, imagine if they did it and then Kyrie dropped 80 points on them. It would be historic.

But I'd also like to see him show the world he's a team player and an even bigger part of the Cavs success than people ever credited him for.

I'm having a hard time getting energized about this NBA season that's all about who can contend with GS. So many Western teams have made big moves that will not bear any fruit whatsoever. We' ve done little and we' re likely not going to be any better. I can't believe it's about to start and I'm already this listless. Even beating Chicago means nothing any more. I sense a season of frustration with the speed of our next step, if it even comes. I think it's because I see us on the down slope for the first time in a while.

I can see where you are coming from but, the actual championship is only 4-7 games and about 2 weeks out of a 8-10 month season. There will be highlights and stories that emerge during the regular season that will be worth your while to pay attention to. Don't let the predetermined end result stop you from enjoying the actual journey.

0 interest in any game featuring GSW. That said hoping the season otherwise can deliver.

We have some good storylines :

Celtics and Kyrie
OKC supposed superteam
Lonzo
Philly
Knicks (hopefully)
