What kind of experience do you have?

Outside Sales 10+ year in IT, specializing in NB/Tablets in B2B/Gaming Sales, Marketing, and Partner & Client Management. Connections to most of the PC companies involved in Esports Today, including the largest Esports marketer in Canada (Bell Canada Subsidiary). I still play online PC that are considered top e-sport games. I have connections at MLSE & Bell for marketing from previous roles. Lastly, I am a die hard raps fam, that occasionally plays 2k.

That's so stupid. To be Olympic champion in something should require, imo, a lot of practice and training + genetic ability that few people have. If you can get good enough with practice alone I think the activity is more of a game than sport. But that's just me.

I don't know if I want eSports part of the Olympics, but don't discount the practice and genetic ability that's required of eSports players (well, game dependent I guess). You won't necessarily get to that level with practice alone. I think there are parallels that could be drawn between athleticism and a pro gamers dexterity

Jocks might be successful in Highschool, but the Geeks get successful in real life. Pretty sure Bill Gates didnt throw a Football around.

This sounds like a fun job. I would probably be very good at it.

Unfortunately I don't live in Toronto and I have no experience in negotiations.

I do play League of legends and Rocket league at an above average level :). I watch those respective competitive esports over the last few years. I played Semi pro Soccer and I played Fifa a lot. Also I watch every Raptor game since Bosh got drafted.
Be fun to organize an elite group and come up with training regimen. The first thing I would do is go try and setup a meeting with Esports organizations like Korean SKT. They are like the San Antonio spurs of Esports.

Did you know that Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors have purchased Esports league of legends franchises just this year. They obviously want to get a piece of this new market. MLSE is going to want to get a piece too.
