Update: FVV to address injury status pg. 15

Typical Raptors team where they make their own bad luck because of thier obesssion for 60 wins which meant absolutely nothing. And before people say that it could have happened anytime, maybe it could have but there was no reason to try and win that game when it gets more intense at crunch time and opposing players are setting harder picks. There should have been nobody on the floor for the entire 4th quarter who was semi valuable. Sad and funny all at the same time at how stupid this team approaches things and how they prioritize. We deserve what we get.

Typical inferiority complex where the team thought they would be more respected because 60 somehow meant so much more than 59 and something to brag 5 years from now if we’re a lottery team and they need filler during a broadcast.

It's even worse because Miami are DEFINITELY the team you want to sit people against. They play right on the edge most of the time and we always seem to mix it up with them. It was a recipe for disaster. They should've played with 8-9 guys, all D-League and deep bench.

You guys are STILL going on about not resting FVV in the Miami game? Injuries are a part of the game... How could you possibly blame the coaching staff for this lol jesus christ. Inferiority complex? Wtf are you talking about. I've never heard of a coach being criticized this much for not sitting out a 24 year old bench player.

You don’t get it. And I said it on the game thread at the time as 4th quarter started. As in why the hell is Casey playing anybody expected to play vital mins in the playoffs. And FVV has played a lot of vital mins in the 4th quarter this year so yes he was a de facto starter. Miami wanted to win that game to try and improve thier seeding so they were gonna play hard in the last 5 mins to do it so that is exactly the perfect time to sit everyone in the 4th. The coach makes the decisions so it is his fault. Yes it could happen anytime but if you sat everyone in the 4th then there would have no chance of it happening that night. If it happens in game 1 of the playoffs then so be it but game 82 against Miami is ridiculous. The point is he got hurt playing in the 4th in a meaningless game. Do you think the Warriors would be playing all the best players that night if they were at 59 wins.

And it is a inferiority complex. This team seems to get off on regular season milestones rather than the playoffs. Had they won 60 games and been knocked out early in the playoffs, Casey would have crowing all summer about how it was still a good season because we won 60 games and we never did that before and he somehow thinks it makes them look like a legit franchise by winning 60 games. They emphasize the regular season way too much as they did this year and in seasons past where Casey ran Lowry into the ground treating some random Feb game against Phoenix or some other crap team like it was a game 7.

If we had 58 wins and that game was for 59, all the scrubs and least important bench players would have been on the floor for the entire 4th. So yeah it was dumb and it was even dumber if Casey did it because his players wanted to be out there. At that point you tell them to STFU and sit on the bench, playoffs should be all that matters.

Uh, do people forget that the game actually still meant something?

A win combined with a Wizards loss the same night would have put the Heat in the 8th seed instead of Washington.

So??? If as a #1 seed, you’re that worried about the #8 seed then you might as well just start playing golf right now and skip the playoffs altogether

We really need him...he does such a better job utilizing Siakim and Poeltl to the best of their abilities by pushing the tempo and slashing.

If raps lose because of Fred VanVleet they are really bad. The way you describe his impact sounds like he's Steph Curry. Even the Warriors win without Steph and we can't without FVV... Gimme a break.

What was he supposed to do, play Brown, Mcknnie, Miller, Norm and Bebe for the whole 48 minutes? Should we have just forfeited the game?
