Hard to put too much into tonight as it's pretty clear due to the fact no players were attached in these trades that teams are really valuing their picks more than ever this draft.

He didn't mess up tonight, he messed up on July 1st 2015 or whatever day it was that they signed Carroll initially.

I still like Masai, just slightly annoyed by the inaction. We still have free agency to look forward to.

He hasnt done much good except for the great Bargnani and General V swindles. All of his FA signings were horrible and the Ross + 1st for Ibaka was bad + signing Ibaka was really bad. Generally disapprove maybe Neutral.

Isn't this a bit premature? There were no movers and shakers at all tonight—except for maybe Dallas nabbing Doncic. Let's see what Masai does the entire offseason. His job is on the line. I'm pretty sure he will dump Norm with our 2019 1st round pick to save it (I'm just kidding). Seriously though, it's way too early.

I still approve. Wish he bought a pick. But it's not a game changer. I dropped from strongly approved due to the fact he doesn't seem willing to move Ibaka. Every other player is a lesser concern.

I’m waiting to see what happens in free agency. We don’t need more rookies right now.

Overall hes still mazai

But getting swept, firing coach of the year, no draft picks, no cap room... if his name was rob babcock there would be riots right now

Definitely approve. In drafts with no picks, Masai does his damage on un-drafted players. Don't be surprised that we call a few players right after the 60th pick

Except he didn't mess up with Carroll. We got absolutely humiliated at SF in the Nets and Wiz series. Despite how hard this board is for JJ he wasn't the same player in TO that he is in Miami. You can blame Casey and the FO for his development (I do) but at the end of the day we had a huge hole are the 3.

The problem isn't signing Carroll. It's that Masai is bad with contracts and bad at managing the cap through the deals he gives out. It's a general weakness going back to Denver and it's always been an issue.

Both Carroll signing and trade were unmitigated disasters. With the way expiring contracts will be valued next season, he'll probably be worth a pick. Smh.
