This performance by Jokic is just unreal. What a player!

I'm actually happy to see how much Demar's improved. All the things we complained about him he's improved on. FROM THE START OF THE SEASON.

Man Spurs look big old and slow vs Blazers. This is sad!

Still can't believe the spurs took our worst young prospect.

I still don't think Rudy Gay and DeMar DeRozan are a good fit together on the court at the same time.

Jokic with 35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals and 1 block. Oh, and he was 11-11 from the floor (3-3 on 3FGA) and 10-11 at the line with ZERO turnovers. Unreal.

Doncic is just filthy. He should not be competing for rookie of the year - he's a pro.
Ska needs to make a comeback.

Having a pair of wings where neither shoot 3's is a problem. Aldridge also doesn't seem to be performing like last year.
The Spurs team in general seems poorly constructed.

I have only one of the Lakers (another poorly put together team), Spurs, and Wolves (they really do need Butler  ) making the playoffs.

Warriors, Jazz, Thunder, Rockets, Nuggets, and Pelicans were locks for me before the season started.
I had the Blazers on the bubble as the 7th team, but after seeing them start the season well... I am leaning towards them being in the playoffs.

Damn another good night for DeMar. Casey really did hold him back after all.

hold back isn't quite what I'd use

but he did encourage DeMar's worst tendencies and never pushed him to play more intelligently/focus on improving weak areas (like I'm sure the Spurs are beginning to do now)

DeMar is a good soldier. he does the best he can

Demar has had good scoring nights be fore... Idk why people are acting like this is new for him... The guy averaged 27 ppg 2 seasons ago on good efficiency. He always tends to have periods where he looks like he's gonna put it all together, then hell have a stretch where you Wonder why hes getting minutes... T he spurs still got blown out...

I'm also surprised that pop hates Poeltl... He was probably our best pnr defender last year, very smart, moves his feet well, good shotblocker... O offense he has nice touch around basket, good iq... Seems like a perfect big for pops... Weird.
mdenny wrote:In anycase....Masai is probably gonna make Fred the first active player/head coach in franchise history now that Nurse is out of the way. That's been the plan all along.

Most Raptors fans thought his game would collapse because Pop would actually hold him "accountable." Instead he's surpassing everyone's expectations, playing solid defense, being efficient, and running the offense.

He is still the same old mid range shooting no defense playing guy he always was. As long as those two factors are the same idc what point totals he puts up.

No, a select group of fans don't think he can function in a system where he isn't a primary ball handler. If pops is still gonna use him that way, then hell still get his numb ers..

And again, hell still have a bunch of games where he's garbage...

We saw this so much in the past... Also we're 2 games in... I mean seriously, he looked like michael jordan for 10 games 2 years ago...
