Poll: Are you happy with the deal?

Very curious to see board reaction in numbers, given we got Green and did not give up OG or Siakim.

Why would Raptors fans not be super happy?

I finally started to love Masai, his first solid move!

if you are pro trade, there is no other grade acceptable than A.
if you hate the trade for reasons of trading DD, image, etc etc then who knows.

B+....
-heavy upside with risk.
- demar and Lowry weren't getting us over the hill and failed a few times
-team still has a bunch of assets and can go in a different direction if Kawhi doesn't stay.
-love that we have a top 5 talent who is still young

Assuming Kawhi plays out the season, it's still a home run. And I love Demar.

I never want to hear Masai slander again

His best move by far

Not to mention, he clearly will not stand for mediocrity

He could've ran it back with Casey and DD and say we are still elite, but he's hungry for more

There aren't enough "Plusses" after the "A" in the options to accurately capture my vote.

I would have rather gotten a long term star in exchange for Demar, but oh well. It’s not a big loss when you realize the inevitable result of running back the exact same team again next year.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Purely on basketball merits it's an A. On long-term merits it's a B since we're essentially getting off of the treadmill a year early (either in a good or bad way). Politically it's a D.

I'm happy that the trade didn't include OG or Siakam, that the pick will most likely be conveyed next year and that it's top 20 protected.

The Kawhi actually playing for us is still up in the air but, on paper, it's a fair and reasonable exchange where for the first time, we get the best player (on paper).

I'm sad that we're losing Demar and that the 2 best friendships on the team have been broken up - Demar/Lowry and Yak/Skillz. The interactions between Kawhi and OG promise to be extremely underwhelming.

In terms of the trade in itself. I gave it A.
Was sure OG and/or Pascal would have to be involved.
And then there's also the fact everyone was telling me you can't move DD, Lowry, or Ibaka because of their contracts...

On paper, we're legit a better team. Now we just gotta hope 1) he actually plays 2) he stays..
