Steve Prohm definitely didn't help his situation. Lindell was his best player and he bounced back from injury and came to form at the perfect time, but only to be underutilized off the bench. Head scratching situation really. I think he's gonna declare, go undrafted and sign as a free agent somewhere. This will actually give him some pretty good flexibility and options because I think he'll be one of the most sought after and best available undrafted players to sign as a free agent and to a potential two way contract.

It would be interesting if he was still around at our pick or if we could trade up to get him. I definitely project him as an NBA player, although probably a backup 5 man. Won't be ready to contribute right away but would be a great 905 development project as you say. I think he has too much talent to still be there at pick 59 though.

Starting to see some encouraging blurbs here comin from the Canada v Australia presser yesterday.

Confirmed interest doesn’t mean they are playing but seeing SGA and Murray’s names here is particularly encouraging.

We also know Birch and Stauskas have publically confirmed interest. And we know Powell and Brooks are interested as well.

The thread says Wiggins in particular has not confirmed interest yet, and I’d guess Lyles too.

Yeah, given his age and how the season went, I would be surprised if Wigginton is back at ISU next season.

From the Des Moines Register:

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/sports/college/iowa-state/randy-peterson/2019/04/03/iowa-state-cyclones-basketball-steve-prohm-lindell-wigginton-talen-horton-tucker-nba-draft-cam-lard/3350575002/

Wigginton was still meeting with his parents back home in Nova Scotia on Wednesday, so expect a decision shortly if he tests the NBA waters again.

Anticipate a yes, although Prohm wouldn’t speculate.

“I honestly don’t know,” Prohm said. “He’ll be back next week.”

In the interview Prohm was also asked about his decision to use Wigginton as a reserve.

“I’ll always think about, 'Hey, could I have done this different? could I have done that different?'” Prohm said. “I apologized to him at different times during the year about things I maybe could have done different or better.

“Situations are tough, at times, when you’re having success. We were 18-5, 13th in the country at one time. Our chemistry was really good. I was doing what was best for the whole. Obviously, he took a sixth-man role that he embraced and did really well.

“There’s a lot of things I probably could have done better with that, but I still think that at the end of the year — when you look at his stats — he was phenomenal. He was really, really good.”

Having said that the dream scenario for this group this summer would include a starting back court of Andrew Nembhard, A.J. Lawson and Addison Patterson all guys who are borderline NBA prospects. Toss in Moncrieffe , Miller, McNeilly, Neath and Sakota ( shooting) and you have some pretty good guards.

Unfortunately we have weak posts although Josh Hemmings looked pretty good in the Bio Steel game. I imagine they'll round things out with Jaden Bediako, Samuel and Krikke. Maurice Calloo at Oklahoma State might get a look. I could see us going with many 4 out guard sets.

We'll see what transpires. Any ideas Hair Canada?

Does anyone have a boxscore from the BioSteel game? Despite it being two days later, the official website only has stats up to last year's game.

Sort of a box score here;

Khem Birch finally getting the national publicity he deserves.

He has been a revelation for the Magic and was crucial to this playoff push.

Good Birch story - hopefully he's done enough to stay in the NBA ( he said he's still owed money from Europe).

Grange had a long detailed story about the continued coaching search a few days ago.

The lead candidate Messina of the Spurs has pulled out, but apparently other candidates have emerged.

Glen Grunwald now appears part of the process .

Thanks for posting. Sounds like the process has been quite amateurish.
