The difference? He was given the ball on the offensive end.

Welll he also started dunking instead of missing layups point blank.

Yeah that's something that has frustrated me recently. So many easy chances at scoring missed because of a weak layup attempt, just **** dunk it. I was watching some JV highlights from a few years back and it looked like his hops were way better.

like you, like everyone here, players missing bunnies aggravates me. but just fyi, in his past 10 games Jonas is shooting .653

best FG% on the team over the last 10 games by far

so aggravating as they are maybe those missed bunnies loom larger than they deserve to

A miss is a miss. Doesn't matter how its done. As long as JV is hitting above 50% on preferably 10 FGA a game with a low TO numbers, there should be no complaints from his offence.

That’s a flawed way of thinking.

Of course there is a difference between a missed layup and a made dunk. A timely dunk can energize the entire team and that energy carries over to the defensive end.

A missed layup (or in JVs case, several missed layups) often deflate a team.

Numbers are useful tools but they don’t tell the entire story. You have to watch the games to truly understand momentum shifting moments.

One game doesn’t erase the past.

Casey made the right decision.

Which is why he's still with the team

Some misses are worse than others. A miss from less than 1 foot shouldn't be happening.

Yeah not saying he hasn't been playing well the last few games, I just call them when I see them. I'm a big Lowry fan, but he's been trash offensively the last few games.

Not to pick on JV as this loss wasn’t entirely on him but he again reverted back to missing layups at the rim instead of dunking. I counted 2 missed bunnies at the rim.

That’s 4 points that could have swung the balance of this game.

I can consider myself 'neutral' about JV. Or more on the positive side. As a fan of Raptors, I'm a fan of him, but I'm disappointed by his 'slowliness' (is this a word in English?). I really have the feeling he is getting no 'respect' from the referees, especially on offensive side. Am I alone with this ?
"But the thing is, maybe I do want to wake up one morning and say, `Baby, let's go to the Bahamas. Today.' That costs money. So what if I want to do that?

Cleveland game 1, lest never forget

Lowry's zero line really took away most of the shade being thrown at the bench again. Nick Nurse literally called out JV and Fred and the entire bench in his presser.

welp. It became obvious JV is unplayable. We lose games without him.

Warriors made JV unplayable...by breaking his thumb, tbh.

Nahhh, he just reads the forum. If it's written it should be truth, right?
