Tonight is a reminder that Lowry is still terrible

13 points on 13 shots. 3-11 from 3. This team will only go as far as Kyle Lowry goes in the playoffs.

It's a shame we couldn't swap him with Conley. Our only hope is that he somehow finds the fountain of youth before the playoffs. Would anyone oppose resting him for the majority of the season in order to try and get him back to 100% (or as close to that as he can get to at this point)?

No because thankfully Kawhi, Gasol and Siakam exist...Lowry is now the 4th option.

I want to see you go out there, get a double double and lead the league in charges with a bad back.

His scoring is a problem...at least he still gets assists and rebounds so he's not totally useless.

As long as he runs the offense and gets 10+ Assists, takes timely charges, then I don't really care anymore tbh

Siakam and Gasol can handle the scoring load now, Lowry should stop being viewed as our #2, he's our #4 now

Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo can do that for you too.

Siakam is still a mid-range jumper away from being a dominant scoring option we can rely on nightly.

Man had 15 assists and was 2 rebounds shy of a triple-double.

He played an excellent floor game.

Some of you just love to whine and complain about everything.

He has taken on this role a lot more this year. We will need Lowry scoring from 3 point land if we plan to do anything in the playoffs. 50/50 chance tbh lol

He was excellent outside of his shooting

If he rests enough to get his back right all will be good

We need his 3pt shooting. We're one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league, and a large reason for that is Lowry dropping from his usual 40% 3pt shooting to 32% this year.

Gasol & Siakam are nice.
However it's a guard oriented league in the clutch come playoff time.

Kawai had not shown it yet.

Not sure who will on this team

Yes, I agree

It sucks that we don't have that #2 scorer that can make something out of nothing, but I'll take a scoring by committee approach + lockdown defense to make up for it

Yet Kyle avged 17 and 9 shoot 50% FG and 44% from three on over 6 attempts last year's playoffs.

15 Assists

Some fans can only see the game in PPG. This boss PG plays D and can rebound. If his shot comes back hes a monster

He needs to change the type of shots he takes. Gasol will help with that. Being a 4th option will help whether this a health issue or not.

That was last year. Lowry was fantastic last year (no one is disputing that). He's been awful this year though, and that's a problem.
