Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
Was not a Derozan fan while he was in Toronto, but got to admit this year, he is looking the best ever.. good for him, looks like he will be heading to the allstar game representing the East... not sure any raptors will make it there, tbh

Happy-go-lucky Stanley Johnson seemed destined to play for a bad LA team. This year may be his chance.

Both JV and Demar having career years, have to feel good for them. DD seemingly having learned to play winning ball while JV leads league both in double doubles and 3pt% (now hit 59.3%, more than 11 percentage points better than 2nd placed Patty ). Now if only Pels had some decent play of back court and some NBA level talent on the bench...

Lets gooo Demar.
"I can go down the list of just being counted out, being looked over," DeRozan said. "So many chips that's on my shoulder that I carry. And just wanting to be a winner and wanting to enjoy this ride. We can't play this game forever, so I want to get as much as I can out of it."

It seems he's getting really confident in his 3PT shot. Nine attempted threes in a single game from a guy who attempted 4 in total in his first 5 years in the league.
Reminds me of the Brook Lopez transformation.

I remember JVs corner 3PT shot that he made in 2012 during LKL All Star Game (2:15-2:25):
It looked like he was able to shoot 3s even 9 years ago. May be he just was not confident enough to do this on a regular basis.

His shot might not be the quickest, but if he's open he can definitely drain it. Defenses will have to respect JV's shot which will provide much more spacing for Zion to operate. Though I do have a feeling that the Pels might blow it up after such a disastrous start to the season and try to acquire a first rounder in return for JV and his team-friendly contract.

I dont know about all star but what i know is that Pels don't have talent, they wont make the playoffs with such performance for sure. What i noticed is that JV is slower, heavier then when he played for raptors. Teams often attack himon offence, he can't defend faster players when they switch on him. In most games he has negative +-... But i mean he's a good tank comander, bright spot on that team, it's very hard to watch that team, they have some muscle but decisions are on high school level It's nice to see that he's evolving his game and will be able to keep his place in nba for some time i think Pels won the trade with Adams

Looking at unsigned FAs it made me feel old that Ed Davis is 32 and winding down his career
Also Biyombo supposedly just turned 29 a few months ago

The NBA. Where 2 perennial bench players on bad teams can play 22 seasons and make 130 million between them.

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
It has come to my attention that Ish Wainright has signed a two-way deal with the Suns and has even gotten some garbage time minutes with them. I really wish that he can find a role in this league, I was bummed when we waived him. Good utility player and a great guy off the court, too, judging from what I’ve read about him.

I’ll never forget about the Ed Davis vs. Amir Johnson and Bismack Biyombo vs. Jonad Valanciunas debates.

Kyle with 7 points, 7 assists and 2 blocks in the 4th quarter to lead the Heat's comeback from down 9
The Heat outscored Detroit 33-16 in the 4th and there were only 3 Heat FGs that Lowry did not score or assist on
