DeMar DeRozan has turned from an inefficient volume shooting "star" to a legit all-star calibre player. He's played phenomenal this season as one of the most efficient volume scorers. Sucks to see that the Spurs are absolutely horrid.

They've turned it around since they stopped force feeding Aldridge post touches which has not just boosted DeMar's game, but everyone else's. The spacing is on another level when they're not watching him pound the rock in the post (only to fadeaway).

I hope Spurs trade Aldridge away, that clears the way for DeMar and Jakob. DeMar has been great and will probably still with respectable shooters (Mills, White, Murray, Marco around). Jakob needs play time.

The thankfully short lived Rudy Gay era here is the single most unpleasant stretch of Raptors basketball for me, but I'm really sad to see him like this. He was the protocol small forward physical specimen, just a couple notches below being a generational athlete. Now he's so slow and robotic.

Hard to believe this is the same player:

DD and JV were great today. DeRozan really is a jack of all trades on offence and JV's numbers speak for themselves.

Poeltl and Gay were forgettable. Beli barely played and Bruno/Carroll didn't see any minutes.

Both teams are playing at a great level, making for a fun game. A good amount of Canadians too; Lyles, Brooks, and Clarke.

CJ Miles just got waived by Washington.

He'll be in China or Australia next year.

I had no idea he was even on Washington. I've watched a couple of their games and didn't see him play. I'd like to think that a team would take a chance on a veteran, though he can't even get minutes on a Wizards team with all their injuries.

JV is close to a triple double vs Warriors, at 29 points, 8 offensive rebounds and 8 defensive rebounds in 24 minutes at the end of the third :D

Good for Jonas. Seems like it was a great trade for both the Raptors and the Grizzlies.

he has a wrist injury, out for season.

he was traded from memphis to washington for dwight howard, who memphis waived right away.

The youngsters of the Grizzles were not seeing JV in the beginning of the season, but in the past 5 games or so J. Morant keeps feeding Jonas, hope this continues as they finally started winning.

Yeah Memphis getting another taste of Jonas beast mode (last year's run of games where he was putting up 34/20, 33/15, 23/24 etc. was cut short by injury). He is shooting 67/50/86 in his last 10 games (7w-3l) and averaging 18/10/2.4/1 in 26 min

early on Ja Morant and some of the other young guys were ignoring him but the benefits of feeding him are starting to become apparent

JV is shooting the 3 at a ridiculously good clip with volume. He's one of the best 3 point shooting bigs in the league right now.

Ja Morant can get anywhere he wants to on the floor and he has the vision to find guys. JV is probably one of the best finishers in the league. It was inevitable that they would kick it off.
