Not everything you disagree with is "cancel culture". They also could have traded him because they didn't want to pay him this summer because he is just another easily replaceable guy. He's had 1 decent game and 1 great game and 5 forgettable or trash games for the Kings. He's the exact same guy for them as he was for us.

Norm with 15 freethrows in a game lol. We should really keep track of free throw difference when a player plays for the Raptors vs another team.

Masai traded away our best players man. I'm positive we win the ship with JV and Delon in place of Marc

I don’t see it, Marc was essential in the playoffs and drove every opposing centre we played nuts with his defence. JV would have scored more, but given up more, and been a much worse help defender.

Happy for Jonas though, always loved him and pulled for his development the whole time he was here.

One thing we can all agree with is JV would be a massive upgrade over the trash we currently have at the 5 spot.

JV is in Grizzlies record books. He had 10 and more rebounds in 19 games straight. Passed Zach Randolph, who had 18th games streak.

Surreal to see JV averaging 16/13 for the Grizz, felt like he was stuck at 12/9 forever here. His rebounding must have taken a leap since it's not like he's getting that much more minutes.

By most advanced stats though, he was at his best here with Nurse. Career high in efficiency, WS/48, BPM. We were something like 23-7 with him in the lineup when he got traded.

He's a UFA next summer I believe, and with JJJ and Clarke I don't think he's in their future plans

I want us to take a run at him next summer, he'd be 29

19 point loss for Portland last night against Utah. Dame and CJ take 21 shots each, totaling 42 points. Norm gets 10 shots for 13 points. The three of them played the same number of minutes, but Norm was -8, while Dame and CJ were -16 and -19 respectively.

Portland is such a badly constructed team. The pieces are there. I've always liked Covington. But if they want to keep Norm, they have to trade CJ and bring in an OG type player as a starter.

I wonder if we could get him this summer, use our space + future pick for him.

Jonas with 20/14/2/1/3 on 8-11 shooting last night. sheesh. last 10 games: 18/13/2 on 59% shooting.

i have to say i don't really like the way Memphis plays though. it feels like the offense is very selfish. everybody's hunting their own shot instead of looking for the best shot they can get as a team. not just in relation to Jonas - who they do freeze out quite a bit - but in general. they take a lot of very low percentage shots as a result. Ja can score but he often drives into the paint and tries to take on 3 guys (and gets swatted or stripped) when there's an easy kick out or dump off available.

Love JV but anyone who thinks we win the chip without the Gasol trade is nuts. Giannis specifically talks about seeing the Gasol wall in his nightmares.

Also imagine moaning about any trade we made for a player on championship roster lol

Anyway Terrence Davis sucks at basketball on top of being a moron off court so that’s nothing to cry about

We got great value for Norm it seems, GTJ will be a star for us

Anyone else you guys want to cry about?

I hope we give Trent an OG contract that can balloon with mildly likely incentives. All star team bonus, most improved player bonus, average 20ppg, or maybe shoot 40% from 3, etc

A “bet on yourself” contract that could be big but would be worth it if he ends up meeting those heights

he's the right type of center at the right time. he's trimmed down a bit and now that every team is going small, he can feast.

We all saw it in him when he was with the Raps. He's also been available pretty much all year. He's easily the second best player on the grizz, as they hold on to that 8 spot.

Jonas is putting up those numbers and is making 15 million a year. What a steal.

JV feasting on the offensive side for Memphis. And Poeltl feasting on the defensive side fo San Antonio (Poeltl is a more effective rim protector than Gobert this year, which sound pretty nuts).

26/14/2 with 3 blks on 12-15 shooting while holding Vuc to 7/19 shooting

pressure's on as Memphis tries to make the playoffs and JV is stepping up big time: last 6 games (4 wins): 23/14/2 on 75% shooting
