He's one of five former Raptors on the Spurs.

The Celtics have played well with a comparably easy schedule. I'd look for them to come back down to earth mid-December, playing Miami, Denver, Indiana+Phily on a b2b, Dallas, then the Raptors, twice in the same week.

The Clippers are now 0 and what now without Kawhi?

Knicks win. On paper they're not that bad of a team. I'd look for them to start turning some heads now, if they can commit players to a decent effort.

I have nothing but respect for Kawhi Leonard, but this is me every time the Clippers lose:

I can't help it.

And honestly... Doc Rivers dropped the ball. Poor coaching. Why on earth would he not put Kawhi on Harden, trapping him in a half-court press every possession? Specially with the human sieve Lou Williams out there.

Shaq and Charles said that Clippers have the deepest bench in the league. I thought if they are that deep, how come they can't win without Kawhi. I mean they can't beat NO without Kawhi...

They only say that because of Lou and Harrell but the truth is that they play starter minutes. Once you go past them and account for the fact that they play mostly with starters and in closing lineups, they have good role players off the bench but it's not all that deep

Well, they do have a great bench technically....but that's only because they have two of their best players - Lou and Trez - not in the starting lineup, even though they get starter minutes.

In reality if you take out the guys who get actual starters minutes, their real bench isn't anything special.

Real Starters:

Harrell
Kawhi
George
Lou
Beverley

Real Bench:

Zubac
Patterson
Harkless
Shamet

...green?

Now that's a decent bench, but nothing special.

East got deeper but the top tier got weaker. If Siakam continues his play I don't see how we don't have a chance to make the East finals at the very least, especially if we can finish the season as a 1st or 2nd seed.

Only team that can beat us as the road team right now are the Bucks IMO. It remains to be seen if we can execute a plan to limit his effectiveness without Kawhi. He burned Siakam last year & OG would have a tough time dealing with that length. I know it took more than Leonard to stifle the Freak last May but can we do the same with different personnel?

Boston are good but I haven't seen a Walker-led team win a series yet so they're more of a question mark. The only team that can match our wing depth IMO. It will be a fun series but I think it will come down to experience and we got plenty of it.

With Philly, I can't take them seriously anymore. Nothing has changed there and they lost 2 of their best 3 players in our 2nd round matchup. Even if Gasol plays like crap all season you keep him just for that Embiid matchup. Horford is too old, Harris is not a playoff performer, and Simmons still can't shoot a 3 to save his life.

Indiana & Miami wouldn't have the best player against us in a series or a deeper roster, so while it would be a competitive I'm confident this group healthy can handle them.

The rest of the East are a crap shoot.

PDPATT is slowly approaching no playing time and Green will take that spot. McGruder takes the last spot. That bench isn't good really. Not sure where they are seeing depth

still - once PG and KLAW are in together this team cannot be beat. I just don't see it happening.

unless they get longer downlow...not sure they can deal with that Lakers Frontline....perimeter defenders Bradley, Rondo, Danny, KCP..I would give the Lakers a slight edge..slight

Interesting that the Warriors are still middle of the pack for offense.

They were deep last year, this year they traded the farm for Paul George. Paul George will just have to go god mode everytime Kawhi sits.

I agree with this. Last year they won on depth but they traded a lot of it away. Shai and Danillo combined last year were 31 pts, 9 reb and 6 assists. Plus they let go of players for salary space like Tobias H.

Sixers playing Thunder, losing by 5 at the half. Nothing urgent about their defence. It's like they think being tall is all they have to do.
