I liked the part where he says that he still got hate for not playing when the Raptors won the Title. And he had to sit back and tell himself that he did deserve his Ring because he was involved and contributed to the Team the whole time even if he didnt play. And at some point you need to stop taking other people's words to heart, good or bad. The whole Team deserves their Rings 100%.

Lins not the only one getting hate, i saw people leaving hate comments on moreland and mccaws page too. I think lowry or nurse pointed out after we won that even though the bench guys didnt play they basically still had to scout orl/phil/mil/gs and act as the test team in practice. Everyone deserves the ring

There was also that strange period where Lowry spent like two straight weeks in Philly and was not with the team. He was nursing injuries, but there seemed to be something more going on.

i dont remember this - do you have a link?

Our pathetic news media didn't make a story out of it, but there was a stretch where Kyle missed 4 games, played in Philly, and then missed another 5 games: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lowryky01/gamelog/2019 (Games 31 to 41)

He was not with the team for most of that stretch. My opinion, Kyle told the team that if Kawhi can take time off to load manage, he should be able to do it too.

If I had to guess it was about load management as well. The team was never able to get into a rhythm really cause of it in the reg season and I can see some players questioning it(especially someone like Kyle), just as we all did at one point.

The victor often dictate what's the new trend. It was superteams not too long ago, and now I think we're introducing the idea of building the best possible situation for a superstar to come in and take the team to the next level. I'm not a fan of Donovan Mitchell, think he'll cap out as a DeRozan level first option who's only at best above average at what he does. Though the Jazz have a damn good team around them. A guy like Jimmy Butler could really swing them into contendership. If they could upgrade Mitchell that would be amazing for them.

Nick Nurse is such a great human being, how could you not like him? Gets off the plane and goes and meets fans.

Exactly. Every year there’s guys who don’t play that win the title. It never means they don’t deserve it.

For guys like Lin and Meeks to an extent who have started or played good minutes on other teams throughout their careers and aren’t used to sitting, I think it’s more of a challenge to adapt and convince themselves that they deserve it. Or even a guy like OG, I’m sure he’s feeling down that he didn’t get to contribute but he was a big part of the team in the regular season. I hope all of them feel satisfaction in winning.

I'm surprised at all the random extrapolating and speculation people are doing here... We don't know what kawhi and Lowry are talking about but a lot of the questions people are bringing up have been answered...

The intervention Danny Green is talking about is in reference to the start of training camp when nurse pulled kawhi, Danny, JV and fvv aside and told them they need to try to get more out of kyle in practice...

The elephant in the room stuff with regards to guys wanting more pt probably refers to delon Wright, since a story went public about him wanting more pt in a contract year and that was part of the reason they dealt him.

Other than that it's speculation... Almost all these championship teams in the past talk about internal team hurdles they went through... Even the warriors recently talked about this as early as last year and even this year with the Durant Draymond beef. These things happen and I doubt they were as juicy as people are speculating.
