The Raptors held prospect workouts at their practice facility throughout the Finals as they look to gather as much intel as possible on the countless options they’ll have drafting so late.

There are potentially intriguing players expected to be available. Central Florida’s Tacko Fall, a seven-foot-seven centre, UCLA point guard Jaylen Hands, Michigan guard Jordan Poole, and West Virginia shot-blocking big man Sagaba Konate are among the names projected to be drafted near the end of the 2019 draft. NBAdraft.net projects Wake Forest swingman Jaylen Hoard to go 59th to the Raptors, but whomever the team selects will almost surely need to have a monster performance in training camp or flash enough potential to warrant a spot with the Raptors 905 in the G-League to have any sort of future with the franchise.

With all of the questions that now face the Raptors this off-season — whether or not Leonard will be in the fold next year being chief among them — who the team selects with the second-round pick may not be the highest on the food chain.

As the Raptors have shown, when it comes to roster-building there’s nowhere brimming with more opportunity than the draft.

Hoard has very interesting physical tools but has been disappointing in college. I have Konate and Hands on my want list.

Buying a pick in this draft for just money seems like a no-brainer to add talent to our roster without taking away from it.

We don't have cap space beyond the tax payer exception of 5 million to sign free agents, and we don't have surplus on the roster to trade like we had before with Jakob, JV, and Delon, which means we'd have to move actual rotation players.

Pretty sure Chicago willing to sell their 2nd picks for cash like they always do

We have our full 5 million cash considerations to trade, so MLSE better let Masai do whatever he wants.

I just threw up in my mouth.

I'm sorry but all these targets are trash. I'd rather bring back Meeks, Lin and Moreland

Bryant had great numbers for a 21 year old. Nice future piece like McCaw. Both he and McConnell you can backload their deals. KCP is probably out of our price range. The comparison? Lin was near useless in the regular season and Meeks couldn't do anything in the post season mainly because he never got much of a chance. Moreland is barely Bebe OK and keeps things flowing on a party bus. When I say target these guys it is because they are serviceable depth rotation players you can get for front loaded MLE.

Bring in Kevin Love if Kawhi resigns.

Line Up:

Lowry
Kawhi
Pascal
Love
Ibaka/Gasol

Trade Norman Powell + Picks for Love salary dump. :o

I will be very surprised if we can keep Danny Green. Some team is going to offer him a long term deal at good money, and I don't see us being willing to take that kind of tax hit or commit long term money when the plan was always to have a ton of expiring money in 2020 to rebuild around Kawhi if he stays. Hopefully spreading his minutes between Norman Powell and OG Anunoby works out, if OG is good enough to start, I could even see moving Kawhi to SG at times.

We would still have a lot of salary coming off next year, so I don't think Green for 15 mil or so hurts our plans too much. I would also rather dump Powell and keep Green if it came down to it. If Kawhi comes back I think we should go all in for next season. We have a limited period of time where Lowry and Gasol are this good so we should take advantage of it.

Green still seems underrated. Simmons thought he was getting 5 or 6 million a year on the last podcast

With the way Danny played in this run it’s probably best we move on, let norm start and get Vince to provide some of the shooting off the bench

For the vet min, I'd keep Danny. He had an off playoffs, but he was pretty good during the season. Even when he shoots poorly he is a threat on the court. And defenses won't sag off of him.

I’d gauge if Norm is a tradeable asset if we don’t have to attach any picks for him.

I'd hate to help the Lakers but wouldn't mind getting Isaac Bonga or Mo Wagner, who I think are interesting prospects to develop on the 905. If we could get either for just cash considerations I'd do it.

We just need a gritty role player with the drive to improve. The drive to make it. Nothing fancy. Sounds easy enough but it's hard to find someone who also possesses the tools necessary to get past that first contract.

I think bringing Nando in for shooting makes sense since we have his rights. We need a really consistent shooter like JJ Reddick or a younger version of Kyle Korver.
