Not like they have much of a choice, but that's a lot of cap space on him.

Overpaid fake star in the ilk of DeRozan and Tobias Harris

CJ still has two years left on his old deal that pays him 27 and 29 mill per year. This deal starts after the old one ends. He's now locked up for 5 years.

Yeah I meant cheaper and shorter in comparison to them waiting till he hits free agency in 2021 and potentially giving him the max then

Or is there no difference?

Simons will never devlop behind two young stars in DAme and CJ locked up long term.

Heard so much about Simons lately and it’s weird because there is zero substance to the hype. I wonder why everyone is in love?

I’ve been hearing a lot about him too...is it because he went off for 37 in the Blazers season finally? Lol

Unlike the players you mentioned, CJ outperforms his reg. season stats in the playoffs

DeRozan is a flawed player, but still unfair to be compared to Harris... just shows how crazy that Tobias contract is.

Is that why the Blazers got swept in the first round 2 years in a row and lost 10 straight playoff games?

Dude's a fraud

So is KG a fraud for getting smoked in the first round for the first 8-10 years of his life? Its not just about the the star players, but the team they're surrounded by. Like I said, CJ actually elevates his game in the playoffs, its not his fault the team handed out $74 mill to Evan Turner, $80 mill to Allen Crabbe and $46 mill to Myers Leonard which handicapped the entire roster and team building for years to come. Not even Steph Curry can pull that sort of team out of the gutter in a loaded West.

You can't make blanket statements like "dude's a fraud" while ignoring the rest of the situation he's dealt with.
