Most likely Masai.
Probably heard stuff from previoua internal head office guys who've been round during the Carter era.
Makes a lot of sense.
That's silly. Masai isn't a slave to that kind of petty emotion.
The reason the Raptors, and other good teams, haven't been interested in Vince is because he's been bad at basketball for the past 6-7 years (he'll be 43 next season). More specifically, he's a huge detriment defensively. He's ALWAYS been indifferent on D and now he simply can't check dudes who are 20 years younger.
If you're a playoff aspiring team, you don't have room for that, especially since you probably want to reserve your 14th and 15th roster spots for younger guys who might turn into something (eg. McCaw, Davis for the Raps this year).
Conversely, the reason Vince keeps choosing scrub teams (aside from the above) is likely because he's come to terms with longevity and counting stats being a part of his legacy. He was never going to make the HoF as a winner, but now he's in the conversation given some of the numbers he's racked up. Bad teams offer more opportunity for that padding.
Vince is 23rd all time in points, with 25,430. With health and a consistent role he can catch Kevin Garnett for 20th (26,071). He's also 6th *all time* in 3 pointers and only 53 behind the 5th place guy (Jason Terry). He doesn't do that riding the bench for the Clippers.
The league is too cut-throat for this tin-foil hat crap, especially when the real motivators (for both teams and Vince) are so clear.
