It's not uncommon in African-American culture to have children with very similar names. I know a girl with two brothers who have names that are identical except for the last two letters which are different. Basically identical names with a different suffix.

There where rumors that Kawhi's dad was a serious known gangster in LA. That his uncle Dennis, was riding with Kawhi's dad, and later got into finance.

Speaking on Kawhi's dad, even though they lived in a pretty rough neighborhood, you don't get aimlessly shot. There had to be some involvement there.

I'd love to play armchair psychiatrist with Kawhi and his family, but obviously a lot of information is missing.

What I do know is that there is a lot of issues surrounding his family. Gang violence, incarceration etc.

It really makes you think about how things unfolded from the Raptors side of the negotiations. You have two world class organizations now, the Spurs AND the Raptors, who leaked or let out that Kawhi's uncle is not trustworthy or straight forward. You have hall of famers question Kawhi's injury to some extent, and even the quoted "drama" by Kawhi and Kyle about this year, which none of us have a clue about.

I don't think any of us can claim Kawhi as an honest, decent and humble guy.

We as fans LOVE to pin ethical narrations about our hero's, but there is something to be said about stars in the NBA and their morality. Jordan for example is a known gambler and is from multiple accounts a serious ass. Kobe and his cheating, which to me is a whatever thing, but not the greatest example. Magic Johnson and cheating on his wife with multiple women.

It'd be amazing to get the full story about Kawhi, like the unadulterated truth, to see who he really is. The persona of a quiet and shy guy was put to rest after the Raptors won the title and seeing the way he acted. Especially in free agency.

Now you hear things about his psychotic sister, right after Masai kind of indirectly pointed out Uncle Dennis.

Makes you think. What did they want, that was outside the CBA agreement? Bags of cash?

And if so, did Balmer deliver? There could be a serious NBA investigation into this, but I have a feeling the comissioner knows some of these deals do go down. It's bad optics for the league if any of the major stuff came to light.
