In a year in which we have the following albums:

Freddie Gibbs - Bandana
Tyler the Creator - Igor
Quelle Chris - Guns
Little Simz - Grey Area
Anderson Paak - Ventura
Billy Woods - Hiding Places
Malibu Ken - Malibu Ken
Denzel Curry - ZUU
Little Brother - May the Lord Watch
Rapsody - Eve
And literally probably a hundred more albums, Post Malone isn’t anywhere **** near the AOTY let alone the hip-hop AOTY.

I mean it’s a completely different genre than the rest of the thread
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Just want to say, bickering aside, thanks for this thread. Probably added 20 albums to my playlist that I'm excited to listen to. Even threw Post Malone on there - I've liked some of his other stuff, but I find him really hit or miss, and have a hard time listening to his albums front to back. I'm sure there are a couple good songs on his new album.

Best news was new Little Brother. I'm so out of it I didn't even know that was a thing.

I often find out about new stuff by checking out year end lists, so maybe this year I'll actually recognize some of the stuff.

Doesn’t matter... we’re talking about album of the year.

I don’t think he’s disputing that, here. I agree Malone is hit or miss. His first album was the best. White Iverson, too young, congratulations.

theres so many tv shows out there now almost everyone is enjoying a different one. same case with music.

you have your basic cookie cutter **** like PM and then everyone enjoys their own artist.

ill hear about different suggestions on tv shows or music from people but i never end up checking it out unless i discover it on my own time. theres an overload of entertainment and not enough time. and i dont make suggestions either because of that.

having said all of that, i will echo a few posters in here. that new freddie gibbs with madlib is the ****.
i miss the days when the bricks was only nineteeeeeeeen, i need a 100 right now

YBN Cordae had a really dope album this year too. Its called The Lost Boy. He's like a young J Cole. Also Port of Miami 2 by Rick Ross was nice! Lastly Revenge of the Dreams 3...but thats more of a label album by Dreamville. Anyway, Post Malone is nice, but he's no where near one of the best hip hop artists out RN.

I love the level of music nerd/snob in here like some of your ears are what define what's good or not.

Or pish poshing people for liking certain things.

Did I just read a dude say he swipes left if a girl prefers Post Malone? Lol what.
