Leafs should be even more of a favourite to win with the squad they have now. Babcock was really impressed with Kawhi and the Raptors work men like demeanour on the court. Serious, focused. IF the Leafs can copy that, then we will have two Championships next year.

Matthew's is from California, just outside of San Fran. He probably loves basketball (although I wouldn't be surprised if he was cheering for Golden State, lol).

He's lived in Arizona since he was young.

I wonder how Babcock would do as coach for the Raptors for a game lol - aside from the lack of X and Os - seems like he'd be a good motivator regardless.

I don't follow hockey at all, I just knew he was American and googled his birthplace. Either way, he probably grew up playing a ton of sports, and basketball was obviously one of them.

he is the dwane casey of coaches, stubborn with his idea, resistant to change, always using some small town saying/ folk-ism.

Boy has the tables turned. Remember how the Raptors were the leafs little brother? And mlse bought them to have another tenant to split the acc rent? Well props to Babcock recognizing the Raptors championship run. And using it as motivation. With their roster theres no reason that they can't win it all.

Babcock not learning his own lessons, trying to be the story in Games 1 and 2 so far, with who he starts and sits.

Wonder how this basketball game-ball thing will play out Feb with the Leafs, if the Raps are in the middle of blowing it up as a lottery team.

The Lowry/DeRozan duo was much less serious about their game than the Lowry/Kawhi duo. I think the Raptors have benefited greatly by Kawhi's business like approach. Smile when you have the trophy, not before. That attitude will carry over, and we will beat better(on paper) teams who have not yet acquired that mindset.
