That shot looked great in form and not forced, and this will help in that NBA players can’t sag off of Simmons like they usually do and give him gap at the three point line. His shot looks much better, I am not saying he’s going to be a great shooter but that 3 looks better than the JV 3’s. Sixers will be scary if Simmons develops a shot, no one is stopping them in the East, they also have the proper glue guy in Horford as well. It would be fun to see the Sixers and Lakers in finals ( of course I want the Raps to repeat)

We had Bruno chants and people going crazy when he did something. Don’t act like other teams don’t do silly things like this.

His release is so slow, he makes Amir look like Steph.

that was like one of those videos of a high school game where a kid with autism hits a 3.

These are the things fans care about if their hasn't won a championship in 36 years. Also, Amir Johnson is still a better 3 point shooter than Simmons at this point....

I already think the Sixers are comfortably better than the Bucks, but this would be huge for them.

Both teams got worse from last year. Raptors would have had a walkover to the Finals if Kawhi stayed.

Yup, if the Raptors brought back Kawhi and Green (or just Kawhi by himself), they'd easily make the finals. I think that just adds salt to the wound. He not only left, but we could have seriously repeated.

As far as Ben, he needs to add a consistent jumper. Doesn't even have to be a 3, but a mid range. Otherwise we saw what happens against a good defence in the playoffs. He won't shoot.

It happens all the time for end of the bench scrubs like Bruno, when they do literally anything in a real game.

Ben Simmons, former #1 pick, on a max contract, getting celebrated like this for hitting a 3 in a meaningless preseason game is straight up cringe.

Was Bruno on our championship roster?

Obviously Simmons was selected first without a having 3, but that didn't stop him from dominating thus far. With a respectable open 3, this guy is going to be a perennial allstar and future superstar.

And what exactly is it that Ben Simmons has dominated in his time in the league?

I don't even think he deserved his one all star appearance.

They got their Kawhi shot. Brett Brown is going to tell tales about Ben hitting a three to a gym full of kids.

Simmons with half a jumpshot and an in-shape Embiid would be game over in the East. Hope we don't see that combination in our lifetime.

Drafted 1st overall in 2016, makes first three Oct 8th 2019.

If the over/under is 5, I'm picking under.

Regular season results are not going to matter for the 76ers at this point.

If the 76ers need to sacrifice 5 wins or so for Simmons 3 point shot development they should do so.

I'd tell Simmons to take a minimum of 4 3 point shots a game. Starting as soon as the regular season begins.

Lol! What a moment. People acting like he hit a buzzard beater. Oh well, if Simmons improves on that shot hes going to be really dangerous. It's still the weakest part of his game or one of the weakest. But I dont how some people on this thread think his shot looks bad or slow. Looks pretty darn smooth to me.

I think that was more of a shot at the way people are treating Simmons than autism itself.
Heck, the way people were treating Fultz last season was creepy and degrading.

Crazy right?

It'd be like a quarterback getting a big contract while not being able to throw out of the pocket, or a pitcher not being able to throw a fastball, or a defenceman in hockey not being able to skate backwards or something.

I guess it just goes to show you how impactful Ben can be? Or that the Sixers are just crossing their fingers hoping for a drastic improvement in his outside game.

Wade is basically Ben Gordon without the 3-point shooting. Sure, he's been a pretty good defender this year, so that would upgrade, but I'd rather have Gordon because he's cheaper and can hit those threes
