I don't know if Nick Nurse was an elite coach before to y'all. But this small thing puts him in the elite head coaches for me.

Ouch. Great on Nicholas, let's see how they respond. He now has the clout of being a 'ship coach and also the organization, too. If you ain't gettin' it done, they'll find someone who will.

Nurse's system is predicated entirely on the 3 ball. Of course he's not gonna be smitten with RHJ who is a negative on offense and can't shoot for sht.

And Stanley Johnson is a homeless man's Wiggins. He gives zero shts out there, clearly doesn't love basketball like that and is gonna get a few more chances to stick before washing out of the league completely. Wasted potential.

I feel like RHJ might fight his way into the rotation. He's not a selfish player, but he makes bone-headed mistakes sometimes. He also tries hard, but loses focus at times. Basically, he's inconsistent, but knows his role.

I don't see SJ getting off the bench this year. He's extremely selfish. Getting traded and then let go hasn't humbled him at all.

I have they feeling they signed thinking they'd automatically get some minutes/burn to help land them their next big contract.

Gone are the days that this is the team you come to do that.

rhj was a 1 year, near min deal so no big deal
Johnson has a player option for 3.8$ next year, so hopefully he can be salvaged.

Its no wonder why Terrance Davis has surprisingly been ahead of them both on the depth chart in all 3 preseason games (though different positions, but still he's one of the first ones off the bench or started last game). Malcom Miller too has been ahead of them both and I thought it was just by design, but it was likely because both RHJ and SJ have really sucked in practice.

You know I actually think that Miller and Brissett(on a two way) have a spot in the rotation over these two guys. Brissett in particular while having no NBA experience plays the game in a manner I think Nurse hopes RHJ and Johnson did.

Nurse did this on purpose, to see how they react.

I think RHJ is good on defense, but I think he has potential to be great. I think this is Nick's way of lighting a fire under him... Or see if he will just sulk and buckle.

Good. Set a no nonsense approach.

Both of those players are risking becoming journey men, or even out of the league. They should be taking this **** seriously.

Look yourself in the mirror. What type of player are you? You're a defensive role player right now. So get on the court, shut some people down like you know how and the offense will come later.

Both Miller and Brissett have shown more to me in regards to defense and having the ability to make three pointers than RHJ and Johnson. It's not always about who has more experience, the NBA is a make or miss league. If I was Nurse, I would have Brissett and Miller ahead of RHJ and Johnson as they have proven they are ready to contribute.
