He'll be fun to follow on the 905, he's probably going to put up some nice stat lines if he gets decent minutes.

Hmm, I’m not sure he has an NBA body. He’s a 6’8” center.

Hmm, Chuck Hayes was 6' 5". Just sayin.

Hayes kinda sucked though. As lovable as he was lol.

Ben Wallace anyone? (Ok Ben is 6-9, but Sagaba is a better shooter so hopefully he works on just playing games)

Ben Wallace was a freak though, wasn't his vertical something ridiculous? And apparently be was a monster in the weight room, even by NBA standards.

IIRC Ben had a 39" vertical and 7'6" wingspan. And he was super muscular, an all-state linebacker who could play both O and D, and IIRC could bench 500. I dno about Konate though. NBA.com has him listed at 6.825 in shoes with a 7'0 wingspan.

Ben Wallace is a once in a generation outlier, and as ontnut pointed out, was a complete physical freak in every other category other than height. Sagaba Konate is probably just another guy who almost made the NBA, as sad as that is to say.

lol @ using Chucks Hayes as an example. If you're just looking at the body type, Hayes is not an NBA player.

ah..ic.. for some reason, I thought Konate was a freak too just from his college clips of his 2 handed blocks LOL. a 7'0 wingspan is a bit underwhelming for a big.

When Hayes was on the Rockets, he was a beast rebounding. Forget what he was at the end of his career when we had him,but he was still an unmovable object in the post and could block out like a brick wall..

Konate spent most of 2018/19 in rehab for his knee and missed Summer League. He probably just wasn't far enough along in his recovery to make an impact this time around.

I don't know why people keep saying he's NBA ready smh dude he has chronic knee problem and he's an undersize big. Our team doctors probably looked his knee and said nope! That knee is not going too hold up. I mean do some people understand that teams have doctors that look at players with chronic injury issues. The raptors team doctors probably looked at his knees and said this man is not going to be able to play consistent minutes on this knee. If they think that you can't stay on the floor in order to develop your game then you're pretty much sure to get cut. Anyways Payne should be next to go.

Nice that we can still keep him in the picture in the event that he does develop/recover.
