Ivan Rabb could be reunited with Gasol.

Happy for Brissett, dude worked for it and hustled during every minute of playing time he got. If he can get his 3 dialed in he could become a Tauren Prince like player. Not to mention he’ll be working with Nurse on the Raps and Team Canada so he should form a good bond that should propel his career in the right direction.

Dno how Lewenberg thinks Miller isnt a good fit. Technically, we have 1 pure point guard but FVV and Mccaw can play the point if needed. Then we have TD and Norm, 2 smaller SG's who handle the ball a lot. On top of that we have Pascal and Marc, both of which are excellent passing big men.

We have almost 0 depth in the SF position (especially if you take Nurse's comments on SJ and RHJ at face value - which you should). Even if they come around, we have no shooting depth at SF......except for Miller.

I maintain I want for Siakam and his now confirmed 6 foot 8 frame to play small forward and move Ibaka to starting power forward and OG can come off the bench.

Nurse basically admitted his every day rotation

Lowry (32) - FVV (16)
FVV (12) - Norman (25) - Mccaw (11)
OG (32) - ?????
Siakam (34) - Serge (14) -
Gasol (28) - Serge (14) - Boucher the extra big ??

The back up 3 spot is such an unknown right now. They may have to move Norman there for some minutes then give some to Terence Davis at SG.

you just said it yourself - we only have 1 PG.

lol thats why Lewenberg says its not 100% good fit.

we have a lot of guys who can handle the ball but no one is a playmaker other than Lowry in the guard rotation. I don't think Lewenberg is wrong though.

There is nothing that I have seen whether that be in Rico Hines run videos or preseason games that tells me that Stanley Johnson should be ahead of Malcolm Miller in the depth chart.

Makes total sense. Other than davis, the rest are unproven / scrubs until they show otherwise.

I would also expect a bit of Norm at the 3 and OG at the 4 in a small ball lineup

It's pretty known I think.

Expect plenty of siakam at the 3 (with gasol/Obama frontcourt), and plenty of Norm too (with fred/kyle) backcourt.

We have 1 TRUE point guard but plenty of band aid options if Lowry goes down and still plenty of play making outside the PG spot (what a true pg does). I'm not sold on FVV having the keys long term on a big deal but I have 0 issue with it this year if we had no choice (in part because we need to see if he can do it).

If OG goes down we are screwed because we literally have no one we can throw in there atm. Im sure one of SJ or RHJ comes around but even in that scenario, we would still have no shooting from that spot which would put a serious damper on the offence. Norm struggles playing the 3 and Im going to take a stab and say Thomas cant guard an NBA SF.

So I think Miller is a better fit than whatever PG would have taken his place if push comes to shove and we actually need to call on the 15th man.

Even with the undecided backup 3 spot, there'll still be another guy in that rotation. At the very least, it'll be a ten man. Also OG definitely won't be getting 32 minutes, Johnson will take a few, and RHJ probably play a few minutes between the 4 and the 5.

Play Terrance Davis, give him a spot in the rotation. We will need a player like him to explode in the future and the best way for that to happen is to give him the reps now.

Powell got burn rookie year and ended up delivering every playoffs for us, partly because his skill level is higher than his attention gets warrented. We need that from TD

I think this will definitely need to be our go to lineup. No way is ibaka going to play less than 25 minutes a game on this team. Let's hope it doesnt take nurse too long to figure this out.
