Players don't get their jerseys retired until they retire...

If it does it wouldn’t be for many years

Please don't sully the board with gross questions like this.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

0% chance it happens this year

Never thought I'd say this but I'm ok with doing it eventually. The Kawhi legend will continue to grow and if we haven't won again in 20 or so years people will be pushing for it

If Leonard does not get another ring, perhaps he will not want his jersey on San Antonio, but Toronto.
We probably want to welcome him instead of booing him, and it will be a long shot that he is not getting another ring in his career.

This season would be kind of ridiculous. After he retires, I think we should although we should do that for Lowry first. And of course this is all assuming that from now until these players retire, they don't do a 180 and start bad mouthing Toronto.

You are off by a couple decades.

Seriously? Hell no.

Eventually? I'd still say no. There's a reason no team honors rental players, in ANY sport. It's dumb. You don't see the Jays retiring the jerseys of Ricky Henderson and Dave Winfield.

Has there been a player whose jersey got retired while they're still in their prime and still active and less than a year removed from the team and only played 1 season with the team?
