I'm still leaning big, but you gotta go BPA if it's there. Imagine the fits a combo of Green, OG, and Siakam would give teams on defense. Would be a good replacement for Norm if we let him go as he has better size than TDIII to guard wings.

I'd be fine with taking him but I disagree with he can handle. I don't think he has much of a handle at all. His offense is pretty concerning to me IMO. Bad finisher despite his athleticism, okay shooter, and bad handle for a perimeter player. He's basically all transition offense and wide-open 3s right now.

The defense is good but IDK if it's super impactful at 6'5, depends on whos on the board but for our team at 28 still not a bad pick as a possible role player.

He can definitely handle the rock some, and he's got some shake, but he's very right hand dominant like Powell was coming out of UCLA. In fact, I see some similarities in their games except that Green is a bit taller, and passes more.

I don’t see it, he doesn’t even handle in transition much. Can attack close outs sometimes. Don’t see a functional handle there imo

Look at his mobility:

His motor is also elite for a big man:

His offense has shown some ability as a pick and pop guy, coupled with his post scoring with either hand. He also has shown pretty solid flashes as a three point shooter. I can't really find too many flaws with him. I mean he was a freshman who came in pretty much an unknown who ended up with a better season than the other two lottery type prospects he played with.

I think he has the hustle and mobility to cover ground on defense but fundamentally he needs to be better which I guess he could learn but right now he still struggles and he can't make up for being blown by on the perimeter with his lack of shot blocking.
I like the motor but a couple others got the same energy.
I think the pick and pop and ability as a roll man is the best thing about him aside from his mobility. Considering how often we run that for Ibaka he could work well. But he turns the ball over a lot if asked to do any sort of dribbling/passing despite rarely being put in those situations.

He's the second youngest out of the bigs so you could make a argument for potential but I'd still prefer Tillman and Smith over him

Agreed, he seems like Nick Young with better passing.

Josh Green I like. He's got style but it's a difficult one... We are crowded at the 2 and I'm questioning whether he can play full time at the 3. He also doesn't really fulfil any particular needs we have since we already have so many players who are young and have defensive versatility at the 1,2,3 (Fred, Norm, TD, OG).

I guess the question we would have to start asking ourselves is... does selecting Josh Green over other players get us closer to a championship? If there is a bigger player with tools available, I think I might be more inclined to select them... not sure though.

I don't think Josh Green will fall out of the lottery, but if happened to be there when we pick we have to take him and run like hell.

I admittedly haven't watched much of him and would appreciate it if you explained why we should take him and run.

I'm seeing a player who has great physical tools to play the 2 and depending on the matchups, able to play the 3 as well. He shows great promise as an on ball defender and his steal numbers shows that he is able to get his hands on the ball as well. Offensively, for a guard, he looks a bit limited and there are some question marks including his ball handling, finishing ability, shot creation, playmaking.

I'm thinking sort of like a Danny Green but with more slashing?

Personally I'm hoping for a 3/4 hybrid or a versatile 5 man from this draft.

What if Patrick Williams also drops?

This guy put Cassius Stanley, Cassius Winston and Payton Pritchard into the 1st round and having Green and Williams not up there.

I'd take P-Will easily over Green.

I was looking at Robert Woodard's stats and couldn't help but see similarities to OG's.

OG Anunoby - Small Forward - Height: 6'8, Wingspan: 7'2

Freshman: 4.9 PTS / 2.6 RBS / 0.8 BLKS / 0.8 STL / 0.9 3PA / 0.448 3P%
Sophomore: 11.1 PTS / 5.4 RBS / 1.3 BLKS / 1.3 STL / 2.8 3PA / 0.311 3P%

Robert Woodard II - Small Forward - Height: 6'7, Wingspan: 7'1

Freshman: 5.5 PTS / 4.1 RBS / 0.5 BLKS / 0.5 STL / 1.3 3PA / 0.273 3P%
Sophomore: 11.4 PTS / 6.5 RBS / 1.0 BLKS / 1.1 STL / 2.3 3PA / 0.429 3P%

I thought is was interesting to see that both of them struggle with their free throws as well. Woodard has an NBA ready body with a big frame. Although he isn't the best at creating his own shot, he could very well prove to be a big asset defensively if he hands on the right team.

Some mocks have him listed mid 30's, others don't have him listed at all.

Would prefer his teammate Reggie Perry. Perry as a big even averaged 1 more assist per game than Woodard.

He'd be a great pickup. Not much shot creation but he's a good catch and shoot player with very good athleticism. Excellent shot blocker for a wing and has the tools to be a great defender. Could be a Covington-like player.

Is Woodard good at moving laterally and defending quicker players? OG was great at doing those things during college.

He’s adequate although not elite like OG, Woodard is a good isolation defender but struggled with team concepts of defense. I don’t think there’s enough there for a first round pick but id be happy with him in the second, i think he can be a decent 3nD depth piece.

Although i agree with Psubs that Perry is the more interesting player on that team and id probably roll the dice with him instead

He's great at being physical and walling guys out from penetration with his thick frame. I don't believe his listed measurements though. If OG is 6'7.5 in shoes then Woodard is not taller than 6'5-6'6. Both of them are built like bricks though. Woodard is a chiseled 230, and a much better vertical athlete than OG (both off one foot or two). The two foot hops really help him in getting weakside blocks, since most people need a running start.

That's the thing that caught my attention with Woodard originally, the guy looks like he's built from stone. He's the type of guy who I see as having a lower ceiling but he could be effective on a team with a well defined role, where he isn't put in a position to do too much too early.

This draft is funny because between you have no idea what teams are going to do, the mocks are all over the place. Maybe one of our guys falls to us, but it's unlikely. You don't want to select a player if you think he might still be there with the 58th pick, but given that we draft so late, I wouldn't be totally shocked if Masai goes "off board" type of pick -- Someone who is projected to go in the 2nd Round.

Im in on Tyler Bey. If our shooting coaches can help him become decent from 3 (a lot of our guys were non shooters in before they were drafted by the Raps), dude would be incredibly valuable. He legit has best defense in the NBA type potential; long, athletic, great motor, good awareness and discipline and is already great at the college level.

Compared to Bey isn't Paul Reed a similar prospect with the upside of being longer and younger?
