Might be early but I’m pretty convinced Matt Thomas is a long term rotation guy for us now

Yeah. The playoff rotations showed that Nurse has trust in Thomas and is ready to work with him as a regular rotation player next season.

Same cannot be said for TD.

I also think Watson will play as a guard, so you got VanVleet/Davis/Watson/Thomas, and by then we shall have another lengthy guard from G-League. As we saw Brown who is SF in size and play SG, we probably need someone to match him (and for going small easier as well). Which is why someone like Mane would be nice to off (undrafted?)

As a guard, Watson doesn't offer the ball handling and playmaking we are dying for (unless I am just unaware that he can do that stuff). If he does crack the rotation, it will most likely be as a sf.

Just lack of advance moves, and perhaps a consistent pull up 3 will help. Same for Davis, he couldn't get by his man due to lack of advance moves. VanVleet with cross over and shot fake, while adding change of speed and hesitation may get him to the rim. I think both Watson and Davis can improve on those area.

Sooo many options at #59. Diane or Diakite for SF/PF.

If Terry is still there at #21 Philly, what about this?

Toronto trades: Kyle Lowry and Matt Thomas
Philadelphia trades: Al Horford and #21

Horford's passing replaces Marc's.

PG FVV - Terry - TD
SG Powell - TD - #29
SF OG - McCaw/Watson
PF Siakam - Horford
C Horford - Ibaka

There is zero chance Kyle is getting traded for Al Horford and a pick.

Dude, you've lost it. Horford is one of the worst contracts in the league right now.

Toronto trades: Kyle Lowry and Stanley Johnson

He seems to still be a better player than Ibaka. Bring back Kyle in 2021.

Thats disgusting. 21st pick to eat Horfords contract isnt enough. Trading the better player in Kyle for that privilege is ridiculous

It would take at least a lottery pick to off load Horford never mind giving up the backbone of your team.

27.5, 27.0 and 26.5 M for a 34 to 37 year old Horford.....

...incredibly dumb idea.

Undraft prospect: Freddie Gillespie
6'9 with 7'4 wingspan (some report said 7'6 wingspan)

He is already 23, no 3 point shot attempt, shooting 68% free throw only, but good at rebounding and defense.
Not the quickest nor most explosive, but capable shot contestor with good lateral quickness with switching ability.

This is the kinda player that comes out of nowhere just because he went to a smaller program.

This kid looks like he's oozing with basketball talent.

Shooting is his issue, I believe. His free throw is around mid-60

He takes contact in the lane well. His moves are decisive and on defense it doesn't seem like he goes for fakes too much.

I think he can work on his 3 as he kicks both of his feet forward and lands instead the line. He needs to jump more straight up and down.

His FT shooting, he 2 bounces then flows right into his shot. Like if the bounce isn't quite right it could throw off the shot in the slightest. He just needs a slight pause before going up for the FT.

Precious Achiuwa will translate to the nba! There's no player outside the lottery I want more. Rebounds at a very high level. Elite defender. He's african, I'm sure Masai loves that.

Both Diane and Mane may surprised people. Not sure they will be drafted in the 1st round (end of the 1st round), but they could be higher than our 2nd round pick.

horrible idea. Trade our best player ever and a lights out shooter on a minimum contract for the worst contract in the nba who plays center? Do you work for philly?

It might need a trade up into the late teens to get him.

Maybe our contact with Orlando at #15?

Fournier and #15 for Powell, Stanley and #59?

Fournier has a player option that he'll probably accept and wait until 2021 but there is a chance he opts out or 2020/2021. If #59 isn't enough for them, what about #29?
