He needs to not take any shots while he's on the floor for 2 consecutive games.

On defence, get in the way. On offence, get out of the way.

Tough to do when you are leading a 4 on 1 fast break leading to a blocked shot after refusing to give up the rock.

Just read the title. First thing that comes to mind... through a trade.

He is just horrible shooter and he doesn’t have inside scoring ability of RHJ. For him to get some playing time, he has to be shut down defender.

The doghouse is the best place for him until he's traded or his contract expires.

He's doesn't have the skills or the mentality to be a professional basketball player.

is the 2nd year guaranteed??? Who on earth in this organization thought SJ would be better than RHJ in order to warrant a 2yr deal.

he is literally the 12th man. unless there is Giannis or Lebron or Kawhi, SJ won't see any time until there is a brutal SF/PF opponent to expend his fouls.

That would have been ideal. SJ is basically unmoveable, at this point. Can we send him down to the G League?

Took a regrettable flyer on him. The Pistons could have used him if he was productive.

If I can offer some reason for optimism, post-all star break last year, Johnson shot 38% on 3FG, with a 44% FG. Also averaged 2 assists in 15 MPG.

If he could ever bring that on consistent basis - combined with strong D and improved game feel - you got yourself a good role player.

If you break down the roster minutes, there really is no spot for him . Especially with TD, Thomas and Powell taking some SF minutes.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

With Hollis Jefferson and Davis playing well, I doubt Johnson will get much playtime. Norm has more offensive game than Johnson so Norm won't give up his spot. At this point, it's just that Johnson isn't as talented as the other players on our team. Can't give minutes to a player that is worse than the other people on your team.

I'd like to see Stanley Johnson get a bit of a burn just so we can trade him for a 2nd at the deadline to a team that thinks they need more depth off the bench.

There's no reason to expect him to shoot 38% on a consistant basis though. Terrible shooters can shoot 38% for a limited sample of shots. I would guess post all star break he shot a total of 75 shots or so. Maybe a hundred. Can't draw any conclusions from that, and you can't or should discount the below 25% from three he shot before that during the same year. It could be possible he's now a 33.3% three point shooter, if he could even hit one out of three outside shots that brings his offensive efficiency up and possibly makes him more of a rotational player.
