What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

We drafted Ross instead of Drummond, traded Ross for Ibaka and now trading Ibaka and other assets for Drummond. :o

Only players I think we would trade for Drummond would be Ibaka or Norman. For Ibaka I would do it, for Norm I am sure we can package him with other assets for a better player

Im too lazy to look up the total tally, but wasn’t it

Ross and a first for ibaka?

So basically Ross and two firsts for 2+ years of ibaka and half a season of drummond?

I can live with that!

I would be shocked if this trade happened. I wouldn't want to pay him on a long term contract mainly because I don't trust him.

Also, don't see what the Pistons would want with our expiring contracts unless it's a 3 way trade with Gasol going the other way.

I knew it.
Proposed an Ibaka + Powell for Drummond + Rose swap a little while back on the trade thread. But with the resurgence of Powell, I'm reluctant to do that deal now.

I'd love to acquire Sekou in any deal for Drummond but that would probably cost us (another) first round pick.

It's interesting to note that Masai has shown interest in Drummond for many years now, he must believe that with our development staff (which happens to be one of the best in the league) we can help Drummond reach his full potential. Keep in mind he's only 26.

Ibaka + McCaw + RHJ + 2020 1st (lottery protected) for Drummond + Mark.Morris - could work for both sides.

Drummond does make a lot of sense for this team. He'd automatically fix our glaring rebounding issues.
His defense isn't the best but I feel like he has the tools to be a solid defender in the right system.
He's also a pretty solid passer for his position (definitely much better than Ibaka).
Of course, his biggest weakness is that he can't shoot free throws or 3s...
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

I want Pascal Siakam to be SF, so I'm not against a Drummond trade. Siakam struggles vs Horford/Embiid, Bam/Meyers and Giannis/Lopez.

If Raps did this deal, would you say no?

Toronto receives:
Andre Drummond

Detroit receives:
Serge Ibaka
Stanley Johnson
Malcolm Miller

Masai could argue Serge Ibaka is a better C then Andre Drummond and he's on a 1 year contract.

I still remember when James Johnson threw it back and banged on em. Then Drummond got pissy and fouled him when he was in flight.

Why would DET want that package of poo?

So they can re-acquire the disappointment of Stanley whom they drafted and get Serge's bird rights? Why would they re-sign Serge with his bird rights when they're clearly rebooting after trading Drummond. Miller is a G-League level acquisition.

Would do Gasol and Powell for Drummond and whatever filler is needed. Would be nice to get Powell off the books and finally having a Center who can rebound.

I keep seeing people offering Ibaka instead of Gasol but that would make zero sense. Gasol and Drummond together would be pointless. Drummond and Ibaka could actually play together on the court.

If the deal is Serge + McCaw for Drummond

or

Serge + Powell for Snell + Drummond,

Then sure.

I would not give up real assets for Drummond

Gasol is too important defensively to trade him for Drummond.
