Don't confuse "add talent" with "get an All Star". i think adding talent in this case is a reliable ball handler as the 7th man type of guy.

The team that wins the Chip this year will have either Bron, Giannis, Kawhi, Harden or Embiid.

99% sure. So unless you have a top 10 player you can’t really go all in. You need to be developing, collecting sssets and prepare to get that top 5/10 talent.

Right now clearing cap for giannis is our best bet to win again. Kyle won’t be here forever and any team paying Fred and Pascal 55 million is gonna have trouble filling out a championship roster unless you have one of the guys I mentioned

Fred, Norm, Serge and 3 first round picks for Embiid and filler.

Philly gets a ton of scoring and shooting and picks to build around Ben Simmons:

Fred
Josh Richardson
Tobias Harris
Ben Simmons
Al Horford

with Norm and Serge off the bench.

Toronto:

Kyle
Pat McCaw
OG
Pascal
Embiid

Highly improbable but imagine if this leads to a Toronto/Philly ECF matchup.

Don't see a blockbuster like this happening in the division.

Parsons career might be over so i doubt anyone will pick him up... he hired a legal firm because he got hit by a driver who was charged with a DUI

Yeah...just saw that this morning.

Its terrible what happened to Parsons. I hope he recovers full and recovers fast.

Yeah I agree. And you can remove Harden and Embiid from that list.

Anyone think Isaiah Thomas could be of use? Getting rid of McCaw would be an addition by subtraction alone first step.

Marc Spears said that Woj and Masai are ''pretty close...so where there's smoke, there's fire''.

No, I want Siakam to retire in a Raptors uniform.
Talent-wise KAT is probably ahead of him right now, but I personally believe Siakam has a higher trajectory based on the level of improvement he's shown every year since he's entered the league.

The warriors can't sit Curry for half the season. He doesn't fit their plans this year.

I'm sort of hoping adding talent means find mccaw replacement...

At this point, I actually believe we need to REDUCE talents.
By getting rid of McCaw, we will free up more valuable minutes for Davis to expedite his development as a reliable backup PG.

This move doesn't cost us too much money, and we can immediately increase our plus/minus ;-)

well isn’t that where we’re at right now ? You think Masai is just making trades for the sake of making it ? Dude we’re 3rd in the conference. If that man is making any trades it’s going to be something that moves the needle.

You missed the part where I said “significantly”

Obviously a trade moves the needle......dude
i think you missed the point. Why would they make any trades unless it’s something to take us over the top ? We’re at the top of the table right now. They don’t have to do anything at all and most people wouldn’t be upset. This team right now is not good enough to win another championship and Masai knows this which is why he’s trying to add talent. He knew this last season when he moved guys like JV and Wright for Gasol. That man is not making trades just to bow out in the Eastern conference finals or even earlier. any move he makes is with the intention of getting to the finals. Like I’ve said before Masai knows this team as it is, is not good enough To get there.

Do you think Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka and Fred VanVleet and Nick Nurse really believe that?

We aren't hoping and struggling for a Finals appearance anymore. We know what it takes; if anyone can do it without a top 5 player, it's us.

Nurse could also just not play mccaw.

Saying bucks should trade Giannis, is like arguing we should have traded Kawahi at last year's trade deadline.

The landscape has changed. This was relevant in the superteam era. However, we don't actually know what we are working with in the league now. The game itself has changed significantly (use of three etc.) Since the warriors dynasty.

Now with no multiple superstar team we don't actually know what it takes for a team to win a chip with this different style of play, and only 2 superstars Max per team
