i watch the bucks Giannias is like in almost every play making an impact. Sure we can beat the dead horse by saying we will build a wall; he can't shoot jumpshots; he sucks at free throws; he can't play more than 35 mins a game because he's not used to it. But the bottomline is just that over the course of a game he generates so much raw output it will be almost impossible to compensate on end by committee.

his phsycial attribute is so high that it's really like playing 6 vs 5

Even though Raptors lost to the Bucks in the recent matchup they still did a great job defending Giannis, he made a couple 3s which made his numbers look better...even without Kawhi the ability to limit Giannis is still there which gives me hope....and that was without Gasol.

No Norm God to save us that game either.

Which is why non shooting Centers like Dwight Howard are relics. The Centers of today have at least a varying jumpshot.

Like I would bet on Baynes beating Howard in a shooting contest.

I found this hilarious. Don’t mind me. You would bet on the guy who just made 9 three’s in one game to be the better shooter vs the guy who has not made 9 three’s his whole career. Sign me up :D

Much needed cushion. Tough stretch of games coming up, all in the next 2 weeks or so.

76er’s x1 - possible 1st round
Celtics x1 - most likely 2nd round
Bucks x2 (back to back) - most likely ec finals

Hopefully we can be fully healthy asap. Good chance to see how we stack up.

If you have followed me I was never a fan of Centers like Dwight, Perkins and Deandre Jordan throughout their careers, now matter how much hype they got.

My point is that Teams of Today's NBA are much effective when the real Big Men can be highly utilized in the offense. And that I would pick them anyday. I was instantly a fan of Anthony Davis for example when he was drafted. Going back a bit. Pau Gasol, Mehmet Okur, and hell Yao Ming.

It's just a post of me fanboying over bigmen who can do more than just dunk. :D

I can assure you fine gentlemen that breakfast is much more interesting when you're waking up to Bucks, Celtics, and Heat losses.

For sure man, how do you think standings will eventually be at the end in the east? Looks like Mia still falling but I'd be more concerned with a philly team with less pressure on them in the first round if they get Simmons and Embiid back.

The celtics well still have to get through, I just dont see them moving below 3rd but that would be great if Pacers somehow get it and we stay 2nd.

I still think we should've sent RHJ to Phoenix for Baynes at the deadline.

At any rate, the Heat are now 6-8 since they dealt away James Johnson.

I could be wrong, but with the Celtics schedule and health issues, they should fall between 4 and 5 and face the the 76ers in the first round. I see the Heat staying afloat and ending up in 3rd. The rock-paper-scissors dynamic with the 76ers beating the Bucks, and us beating the 76ers in the ECF is still on.

Something we should be able to take advantage of too, Serge/Marc could do it even if they both prefer to pop

I wonder how many centers will turn into offensive linemen in the playoffs lol

I find it hard to believe that it would be more advantageous bringing the shooting big inside rather than outside. The Lakers do it because their bigs can't shoot and are good at rebounding. Also another disadvantage of this strategy is your bigs take longer to get back on defense.

The only other contending team I could see doing that are the Celtics.

I think the reason for us to use it is while they are good pop bigs neither of them are elite shooters. The Bucks will glady let Marc or Serge get 10 3s up.

I think mixing it up is important anyway and the seal can help Siakam finish against a defense he really struggles with.

The transition game is a good point but if you have their big trapped it makes it 4v4 which is okay I think.
