Question for Season Ticket Holders/Waiting List
Last summer I placed a deposit down for season seats. I believe it was $100. From what I understood, the conditions were that the $100 deposit went to season seats (if I got them) or to mini-packs/whatever games I'd purchase from the Raptors in 2019-2020 if I didn't get seasons. So of course with the waiting list being long I didn't spend the deposit on season tickets and I missed the chance to get a mini-pack. My question is: Does anyone know if I will ever get that money back? Do I automatically just get transferred over onto the season ticket waiting list for the following season? I don't think I ever received any correspondence from the Raptors so not sure how this works. Thanks for the help guys!

Re: Question for Season Ticket Holders/Waiting List
I got the option for the amount I had for the rest of the regular season for the refund or to put it towards next year, which I took the refund. I had already made payments for the 2020/2021 renewal to secure playoff seats which is now in the bubble. I too should ask if I can get that back.
If/when they decide no fans next season, I'd get that money back I guess.

I paid for the full cost of Raptors 905 2020-21 Season tickets in early March (the week before the WHO declared COVID a pandemic). MLSE is currently in the process of processing a full refund for me. My understanding is that it works the same for the main Raptors squad.

I went back on the wait list too since I share with another buddy and he hasn't been all that fair. I get the feeling that a lot of people won't renew. Better start saving I guess.
Pretty sure they just hold it until your turn comes up, but I'm not sure it's refundable.

Re: Question for Season Ticket Holders/Waiting List
Basically, season ticket holders had the option of applying refunds for unplayed 2019-20 games to their 2020-21 renewal, or getting a cash refund. Deposits for 2020-21 were supposed to begin in March, IIRC, but now has been put off until September. There is no indication yet whether the team can even play in Toronto, and if so, with fans. As things stand today, you'd think that if the NBA plans a Christmas start to a 2020-21 season, it will have to be in a bubble. Baseball can't barely manage a season with Covid with no fans. Mind you, some teams, like Miami, are proceeding to take deposits for 2020-21 in the hope everything is normal, but to me, that's wishful thinking born of a bit of desperation. Miami is owned by the Arinsons, who own Carnival Cruise Lines, and we all know that the cruise sector is pretty much dormant right now so they must be losing a boatload of money

I think renewal rates will be determined in part by the virus situation. Some older season ticket holders might balk at exposing themselves to the virus in such an environment. I won't be going to any games until there is an effective vaccine. One possibility is that MLSE could exempt some older season seat holders for one season and take it upon itself to resell those tickets, which might be good business if the team is reasonably good. They'd actually make more money.

i'm hoping that doesn't happen! But you might be right, that is a good idea.

Ah, I clicked renew but the 1st payment was supposed to be on April 8 which didn't happen because things were halted.
Geez they jacked up prices to $5200 for 2 tickets in 1st Row of Purple.
I don't mind giving up my tickets for 1 season as long as I can get them back for 2021/2022. After the Raptors go back to back to back it'll be $6000.
