Actually thought 15-18 ppg and elite defense was his ceiling. Didn't expect the offensive development at 23. He's probably a 18-21 ppg scorer right now with elite defense if he shows no improvement to next year. Can definitely see him as a 20-23 ppg scorer now with DPOY style D. Pretty much Ron Ron in Indiana

Too early to say. He's 23 yrs old. His peak is 4-5 years away. Think about that. Possibilities are scary. Can't believe he actually hit 2 Dirk shots last night.

OG's last 5 games -

34.3 MIN, 23.0 PPG, 4.6 REB, 3.0 AST, 1.4 STL, 0.6 BLK, 56 FG, 46 3PT, 88 FT

OG on the season -

33.1 MIN, 15.6 PPG, 5.6 REB, 2.1 AST, 1.6 STL, 0.7 BLK, 48.6 FG, 39.8 3PT, 77.3 FT, 61.1 TS

We're getting to the point with him that projecting him to be a 20+PPG scorer while being a defensive player of the candidate isn't out of the question. And a player with that resume is an allstar calibre player.

For OG to get his flowers from the league/media, Raptors have to be good again. I'm all in favour of the tank for this god-awful season, but going forward in OG and Pascal the Raps have two all-star types at the premium position in the league - switchable 3-4 who can defend virtually anybody.

Whoever is in charge of the Raps going forward has to build a team around these guys.

The key is adding a scoring guard/wing to the mix so OG/Siakam aren't expected to be the primary scoring options. Siakam/OG as your 2/3 on offense with VV/GTJ hitting open/transition 3s has the making of a good offense.

Said it when we drafted him potentially a more athletic Ron Artest....I think some people forget Metta was an all-star and 20+ppg scorer at one point.

Considering where he was drafted that was another excellent pick. Has been my favorite Rap player since he was drafted (minus Kawhi's brief stint ofc) but him and GT Jr are my favorites to date...pending the upcoming draft (if by some miracle we got Jalen Green or Cade - it's immediately them lol).

I was one of the 11 who chose - All-NBA defense with 20pts a game (top 10 player in the league) - feeling pretty good about that selection, although not sure that qualifies for top 10 player in the league right now since pts are fairly easy to come by in this offensive era.

Still looking really promising if he can continue to tighten his handle and work on his balance and footwork.

Ron Ron with his 7 games in 2004/2005 peak stretched over the next 10 years!!! HOF!!! 8-)

Really right now he's easily better offensively because he's 6'8 and can finish better and shoots the 3 better. Defensively, comparable.

dude's getting compared to Kevon Looney in pre-draft

After shutting down Kentucky freshman Jamal Murray in the Round of 32 in the 2016 NCAA Tournament, Anunoby became a hot name and one to watch for in the 2017 draft class

He's 3pt shot seems very reliable now. He takes six a game and is maintaining that 40% mark. And you don't get the same sense watching him shoot those that you do watching Siakam. His form and consistency is better.

His strength inside is fantastic and he can genuinely bully guys to score there. He hasn't really struggled with the gradual increase in his offensive load. If he can get to the FT line a bit more, yeah I think he averages 20 a game with all NBA defense.

I don't think that makes him a top ten player in this league but I think he's got a shot at being in the back end of the top twenty players in the game.

His contract is an absolute bargain now.

He's become my favorite Raptor. His improved handles are great to see and Nurse's confidence in giving him some possessions to create for himself/teammates will only add to his development. The one shocking thing for me is his strength man. The way he is able to move and displace guys around the rim is pretty crazy. Averaging a career high 39.8%3pt on almost double the attempts from the previous season shows just how hard of worker the guy is. Man it sucks that he was injured during our championship run because I would have loved to see him and Kawhi putting the clamps on in the post season.

I voted with the majority 15ppg w/ elite defense but now I see him topping 20ppg. Especially with our lack of a true #1 option.

Can we lock him in a hyperbolic time chamber with Jordan tapes all summer?

He's been our best, most consistent player. I remember the game against Phx where he locked up CP3, Booker and Ayton in the same quarter. Phenomenal defender.

It's so unfair to put the Kawhi comparisons on OG.

OG becoming prime Artest should have people ecstatic. If he has the ability to become even more than that you let it happen naturally.

There is no question at this point he is the most valuable player currently on the roster. The important part is allowing him to develop and grow, but not allowing what happened to Siakam. Siakam in an effort to show he was a potential #1 guy moved away from so many parts of his game which made him good in the first place. He developed an ego and now you don't really know what you have.

OG's 3 point shot has become automatic and he has been allowed to do more off the dribble. When he is asked to create for himself there are still a lot of issues, but it's good he is being given that opportunity.
alienchild wrote:Again, I hope the basketball gods give us the 14th pick in the draft. I hope OG asks for a trade, Birch signs elsewhere and GTJ signs an offer sheet and Raptors don't match. Frankly Masai is dead to me.
