Gotta think long term here. Sit out rest of the bubble imo.

Derozan
Lowry

Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

What are the nonsurgical treatment options?

Nonsurgical treatment is recommended for the majority of people with a first-time patellar subluxation or dislocation.

Nonsurgical treatment includes:

RICE (rest, icing, compression, and elevation)
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
physical therapy
crutches or a cane to take weight off the knee
braces or casts to immobilize the knee
specialized footwear to decrease pressure on the kneecap
After a patellar subluxation, you have about a 33 percent chance of a recurrence.

That's the best defender Sixers can throw at Siakam. I'm sorry for Ben but that's what I first thought

I've had this issue with both of my knees periodically since I was a teen. It can be a freak thing for some, but often is a function of a structural anomaly - how the kneecap sits on the joint. If the latter, it may well happen again. He can strengthen the tendons securing the kneecap, or have the issue dealt with with surgery. For a pro athlete with access to the best care, he'll probably be out a couple of weeks, likely wearing some kind of knee support to restrain the movement of the kneecap. What's interesting is that this type of dislocation often happens when the foot slides unexpectedly, something that can easily happen on a basketball court in the case of poor traction - either a shoe issue, or a function of stepping on a damp spot.

US talking heads still take Sixers to come out of the East over the Raptors.

They probably forgot who won the championship already and if we do again this year they’ll dismiss it again

This sucks. Hopefully no more guys go down. Nothing ruins a playoffs more than injuries to key guys on teams that can actually make a difference.

2014/2015 GS Warriors faced:

Jrue Holiday gimpy in 3 games out of the 4 games.
Mike Conley gimpy in 5 out of 6 games.
Patrick Beverley OUT for all 5 games.
Kyrie Irving in 1 out of 6 games. The Cavs even lost Game 1 that Kyrie played.

Makes me nervous that we'll lock up the #2 seed relatively quickly and Nurse will still play Lowry 38 a night.

Embiid is the best Siakam defender on that team

Just bad luck, pure and simple. No way anyone could have foreseen bad health as a possibility at the time they drafted Embiid or Simmons.

People were fretting about this at the start of the year. But (a) Lowry's had four months off. The key now is to build up his endurance in (relatively) low leverage situations. Better that than what the Bucks are doing with Giannis. Also (b) vets like Lowry and Lebron know how to pace themselves during games. And finally (c) without between-game travel in this bubblescape, the older players are able to recuperate faster.

But it would be true to say Lowry hasn't looked as sharp against the Heat or Magic as he did against the Lakers. Whether that represents taking a conscious step back in favour of other players (like Fred or Pascal) or a lack of energy is hard to say.

Simmons was more of a factor in Lowry and FVV being non-factors.

I'm moreso talking about him maximizing the window for an injury. Guys are dropping like flies out there.
