I have no idea weather it means boycotting possible playoff games or games next season but it seems things are getting worse not better right now.

How would this even work? logistically speaking. If the Raptors decide to boycott say...games 1 and 2 of the Celtics series and the Celtics dont follow suit, does that mean we essentially forfeit those two games and go down 0-2?

Basically yes. The Raptors have to suffer the consequences for not doing their jobs. I agree that the Raptors if they go through with this are being ridiculous. And it is probably the line where the NBA won't rightfully support.

What is boycotting the games going to do?

If anything sports give people a reason not to go out and do stupid things.

black men feel helpless and hopeless. the players are trying to figure out ways to make change peacefully. it's tough when no matter what you want or try to do, white cops are killing black folks unnecessarily.

If they do this, I fully support them. Would be best loss in franchise history.

It's a Canadian team, I kind of don't understand...why punish us.

Unless this is a whole league thing?

If they feel that is what they need to do, they have my support. I don't think it'll have the desired effect, but use what voice u have

Then considering boycotting is literally them using their platform to send a message.

That's probably what should happen, but it would be a really bad PR for the NBA IMO. For the same reason, if the Raptors were to decide to boycott the games, I think Celtics would also follow.

how is boycotting games going to stop police brutality...the world doesn't revolve around the NBA....you can say it brings awareness but there's plenty of awareness already, it's time for action to fix the American policing system, not awareness.

Off duty cop pushes Masai and files a fraudulent lawsuit: "Justice must be served! Sign this petition and get this disgusting man out of here!"

A cop shoots another unarmed black man: "So we would have to forfeit a game? Protesting doesn't do much anyways."

I get the idea of taking a knee.

But if this turns into a best of five, it's a race. That helps the Celtics.

It happened in Wisconsin. Bucks players should be involved in this.

This issue is way, WAY more important than playing basketball. If the players think they can do something to move the needle, they have to do it. For Kyle and Fred and others with kids who are gonna grow up in this world, they have to do it. Bur it has to involve more than the Raptors.

Maybe it would like the Kobe game against the Spurs. Teams could take turns forfeiting games.

If that's what they want to do then do it. It pressures the owners at least

Im all for it if every other team follows suit. However, if ONLY the raptors decide to boycott games and essentially forfeit the rest of the playoffs as a result, it would make them look incredibly foolish.

Or they can just take wins and move on the ECF. The Celtics dont have to go down with the Raptors. They have no reason to, the Raptors would be on their own in this sense. They came to the bubble to play and raise awareness, they are already doing alot as a League and doing more than other Sports Leagues in North America. I get it, the Raptors want to do more. But this seems like one of those rogue moves where it's only going to hurt the Raptors and nothing positive will be learned from this. If all the other Playoff Teams sit out, then it would be a different story, but it would be a tough sell.
