If he was here doing what he's doing now he'd be the biggest star in Canada by far.
I love our team but I pray one day we get a great canadian on our team to come play

With more and more Canadians coming into the NBA every year it'll happen in the future for sure.

Jamal Murray, SGA, RJ Barrett...if any or all of these guys want to come home one day...I'd be so happy.

Yup, Canadian grassroots basketball is only getting stronger too.

I'm happy for Murray playing in Denver. I'd love to have him with the Raps. But man I'm loving the fight they brought to the Clips. They're like Raptors West.

I wanted us to trade up for him so bad. It was an 8 player draft though, there was no chance the Nuggets would pass on him.
He’s doing Canada’s work right now.

Murray has another level in the playoffs. Him and jokic pick and roll is like Malone and Stockton 2.0

https://streamable.com/6k4wjjthe jamal murry draft slot was knicks pick.
nuggets had swap rights with knicks from melo pick.
so nuggets moved from 9 to 7, plus the knicks traded that pick to the raptors for andrea bargnani.

Yes, we could have had Murray but Masai was too good when he was the Nuggets GM.

Arguably the biggest mistake of Masai's tenure. With that Knicks pick he could have definitely built a package to move up and get Murray. With a running mate like that there is no way Kawhi leaves for Pandemic P. A Kitchener man leading this team for a decade plus would bring all of Canada together.

LOL
The player picked 9th was part of the package that landed Kawhi.
We did pretty well with that 9th pick.

Wait how the hell were we close and how as it Masai's fault? We picked 9th? Jamal went 7th, Jak went 9th?
We had no chance of grabbing him

Denver wants to give the Raptors top players.
Every team is looking to trade down to get worse prospects.

Murray is just a confirmation that scouting and ranking for elite players
might have to change
10 years ago, Murray's game and size would be the one of a 6th man. Combo-guards were not starters. Jamal is a pure combo-guard as much as he likes to say "I have played point most of my life".
Ben Simmons
Brandon Ingram
Jaylen Brown
Would you draft Murray ahead of any of those guys? I am not there yet

, I would not!
