He's like TD with better PG skills.

Can see him being another second round steal. Based on clips, he looks better than Flynn...but it was mostly scoring on the interior or mid-range that impressed me.

That's a really good analogy, as he has the same weaknesses - slow/simple reads out of the PnR and lost on D.
I see why he almost slipped out of the draft, but at the same time I see why the Raps bet on his potential even at his age.
I'm cautiously optimistic that he can learn to see the game better under Nurse and Lowry/FVV.

Harris 6-foot-4 in shoes, 6-7 wingspan with 4.4 percent body fat
Standing vertical jump of 37.5 inches was the highest in the 2020 combine and the best in the last four NBA combines
Max vertical jump was 42.5 inches
Lane agility time of 10.59 seconds, the third best at this year's combine
3.11-second three-quarter-court sprint ranked fifth
And he can do these types of dunks
?s=20
Basically, I see a bit of Jamal Murray in his game and with Toronto development system you never know how high he can reach. At the minimum he takes some bench minutes as as an off-guard.

Clearly every team in the league was sleeping on this guy. Thank goodness we have Masai and Bobby.Dalek wrote:A pick is just a number, let's not forget this guy is a three level scorer who has grinded his way into being a draft pick. His shot is great, check every release. Not rushed, feet set...it looks like the same shot every time. Next to no variance. He's going to be a great shooter.

You mentioned the height and I could say that is my recurring gripe with almost all of offseason moves:
Malachi Flynn about 6'1" when Theo Maledon was there who was 6'5" with a decent wingspan
Jalen Harris a bit undersized at 6'4" but makes up for it with his wingspan
Aron Baynes not a seven footer and 7'2" wingspan makes him a bit short as a C
All of those guys make up for their height with tenacity and IQ so we should be okay, but the league is trending towards more size overall, so it is interesting that Toronto doesn't pay attention to trends.
Alex Len and Chris Boucher are ideal height for their positions.

Isn't the league trending in the opposite direction?
