9.5 million cap hold minus whatever he gets? That's doesn't seem easy to go over. More likely we use the MLE and get hard capped.

No. because started the FA season below (way below) the cap. Team in that situation loses the MLE until the next season. We'll have renounced his Bird rights/cap hold to create the cap space, and won't have an MLE to re-sign him.

We could renegotiate his contract to like 9 Mil a year in the offseason thus eliminating his 45 mil cap hold . We would still have about 35 Mil for a max player. After doing all that we can then resign OG with bird rights
