Both our game against the Lakers and the recent Suns v Utah games both showed how far away we are from having a legit core. There is no way in hell I think Pascal can be the guy going isolation in late game situations in a playoff series to precent turnovers and get us a difficult bucket. Its why we lose damn near every close game

It was also embarrassing watching the Lakers have to send zero help becauase Kuzma was more than enough to guard Pascal and hold him to a bad shooting night. If our go to guy can't go off against a team's B team than he probably isn't that great (not like he was missing bunnies either, a whole bunch of bad shots becauase he couldn't get open were taken)

We desperately need a true #1 option on this roster through trade or draft. Pascal would be better suited to playing a Robin role where he gets his points in the flow of the game or as the sole starter against second units. This force feeding Siakam looks no matter what thing has never looked promising since the beginning of last season
"Above average role player is now being paid like a superstar from one good playoff series. This will end up as one of the worst contracts in the league." paulbball on Pascal Siakam

I would love to have the blessed life of Aaron Gordon sitting on a max deal doing slightly less each year. To win he just needed an MVP and a star PG around him to make him look like a player of value.

But can you imagine the grief of having to live with having obtained 49 points in a non-meaningless and perfectly non-childish dunk contest?

winning is an amazing elixir.
plus his contract is a relative bargain, thus high price paid for him in trade. makes $18 mil this year, and $16 mil next year.

Good point on his deal. I didn't realize it was declining contract. I still think $18m could be better spent.

Denver was fine without him and I think I'd like to see how he performs over a longer period. He has played about 5 games for them against teams like Orlando, San Antonio, Detroit a semi decent Atlanta and a couple great teams in Philly the Clips. People are so quick to call this a win for Denver and Gordon.

To me he is a whiny dude who never got over losing a dunk contest. Picked the no. 50 to represent the score he thinks he got on his losing effort.

Just want to say that the Clips made some quiet moves this past month or so that really make me think they can take a leap if they are healthy by the playoffs. I watched them dismantle Portland the other day and I have never seen Dame so invisible.

I think adding Rondo is great for them which helps Reggie Jackson to play strictly off-guard and he looks great. Cousins looks like he could be worth a signing just to add some bulk and insurance. If Beverley is all the way back that looks like an elite defensive team.

George and Leonard are also really gelling. I have to hand it to Ty Lue, but he has brought this team together.

Yeah I think Rondo was the low key most important acquisition at the deadline.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Suns are a team I'm gonna start watching more. Beat Utah last night and then hanging with LAC tonight. Kawai with one of his best dunks. And Booker decks Leonard and Reggie Miller has the audacity to say it's not flagrant. He gets no respect even in LA lolz

Speaking of Booker. I commend his commitment to the game. Was not a fan before but he keeps working. Heck of a player.

And that’s exactly why it was a cheap trade. Heat fans were delusional thinking they could get Lowry for a similar package. Oladipo is damaged goods

Saw this happen live, and it looked like a torn ACL. My second thought was that I wonder if they regret not giving up more for Lowry. Oladipo is Brandon Roy 2.0 and they should have known that.

Three pointers should be worth 2.5 points. This 3-PT revolution is getting out of control

Drummond looked nice last night on the Lakers, he moves the ball more than he gets credit for and his big body + athletic abilities can neutralize some bigs. Ppl act like he doesn't belong in the NBA

riley's calculation at trade deadline time was that they would get a legit shot at lowry in the offseason if they renounced oladipo. we'll see. they might have to renounce robinson as well to make a play at him.
