Sad because Butler being gone, Hayward not playing that first Hornets game where we basically had no offense in the fourth hurt. We should be 5-12 or 4-13 right now.

This week is CRUCIAL.

Bucks, Kings, Orlando Twice, then Nets and Hawks.

We can be 2-4 by the end of it. Even 1-5 if the Kings steal one from us.

If we do some mediocre **** like beating the Kings, both Magic games and the Hawks and end the week 4-2 then mediocre pick here we come.

We'd be bottom 5 if all these other teams didn't keep missing players due to covid

I'm down too but I still have hope. We have this upcoming week and that's it. After that we are gonna be playing ELITE teams multiple times every week until early March.

I can see us being trash for the next two months. Then Masai has a decision to make.

We play the Bucks three times, Sixers twice, Celtics twice, Miami in late February. Memphis who isn't a pushover now that Morant is back. Rockets (I expect them figure it our soon, too much talent). Nets once too.

Need to start thinking about who's the best one way defensive role player in their senior year, those high floor low ceiling types of role players within our draft range.

The crazy part is this was the easy part of the schedule and they’re 7-10. We still have to go and face the Lakers, Clippers, Jazz, Nuggets each twice and then even the mediocre west teams for us are usually difficult to beat at home like the Mavs, Grizz etc.

The thing is, would MLSE even want to tank? Raptors are a profitable franchise, can Masai just choose to move in the tank direction on his own? Seems like MLSE might just want to continue to coast as a perennial (albeit mediocre) playoff basketball team.

That's why tanking this year could've work because they are not in Toronto. They are in Tampa

Raptors are literally in purgatory.

Masai won't sign an extension, so neither will Bobby.

How can you decide on any direction with that hanging over the team?
alienchild wrote:Again, I hope the basketball gods give us the 14th pick in the draft. I hope OG asks for a trade, Birch signs elsewhere and GTJ signs an offer sheet and Raptors don't match. Frankly Masai is dead to me.

Can't beat a Pacers team without Sabonis or a Heat team without Butler and Herro but expect to beat one of the Nets or Bucks.

He'll complain about refs. And then they'll say Raptors could've easily won those

Moving Lowry, Powell, and Boucher will make this team go from mediocre to trash. Also rest Siakam for the entire season due to groin injury and we'd officially set our self up as a bottom 5 team.

FVV & OG aren't gonna win jack without a hot shooting night from the entire team. I really can't imagine how bad this team would be if FVV was our number 1 option.

FVV/TD/Stanley/OG/Baynes

That's a good tank lineup imo

We're gonna be stuck in no mans land unless management does something soon. Its clear this team is mediocre at best and gunning for that 7-8th seed first round exit.

It's interesting reading some posters wanting the Raptors to be the Cavaliers. Unless one of Garland/Sexton becomes a top 10 player (an extreme longshot), it's a team setup to be a 1st/2nd round loser at best which is exactly what the tankers here dont want.

If you want to emulate a different franchise, at least pick a successful one.

Return to Toronto Raptors
