NN's "genius" is overrated

This guy throws **** against the wall and see's if it sticks.

Why doesn't he look at the numbers and experiment by those merits? He got gifted a lot more than DC did (also a bad coach).

If we want to experiment get an asssitant coach that can provide experimental ideas backed by metrics.

Try OG at the 5. Boucher at the 5. Start Powell. Make Yuta the permanent back up 3, let him get comfortable and he will be a proven starter.

All of those ideas are backed by logical or strong statistics.

When NN starts Len instead of Baynes what the heck is that based off of?

He is overrated.

What is the genius ideas NN has brainwashed you with?

A HS defensive tactic? A zone defense that gives up wide open 3s?

It's about matchups. He keeps saying that and nobody listens. You can't play Boucher against oversized bigs.
Nurse adjusted really well. Baynes didn't play last game and Len only played small minutes in the first Q. I'm pretty sure that it's the fans who crowned NN as a genius. Not the media, and certainly not NN himself. So let's just give the man a break. He's got a lot on his plate right now, a lot of guys that he can play, and a lot of tough decisions to make. It's always easy to blame the coach.

Can you also let us know which coaches are underrated?

Championship, high win %, COY, started running Zone alot which made other coaches try it, pushed the Celts to 7 while his star player was AWOL, box and 1 on Curry, Wall on Giannis

He's the best in the NBA, don't Listen to the white Casey and Nick Thibodeau garbage.

He started Len over Baynes because Baynes was playing like ****, that's hardly throwing **** at the wall, it was backed by stats and eye test

Don't come on this board with your "facts".

OP is on a real role with trash threads. This one is even worse than the one from earlier today.

This board has really fallen off of late ...Nick has been the best coach in the team's history by a landslide...yes his gasol handling in last year's playoffs as well as the McCaw love was a little suspect but to call him overrated is ridiculous...some posters on this board overreact about everything! Enough already! All of a sudden Masai and nurse are overrated when before the season we were calling them the best in the league!! Smh

I kind of feel bad for coaches, they get blamed whether it’s their fault or not. This team just isn’t very good, it’s a weirdly constructed roster that has severe holes in it. We literally lost our whole championship team and we’re sitting here expecting Nurse to take a bunch of misfits into the finals? Some coaches certainly are the problem (I’m looking at you Casey) and others are just dealt a bad hand. I’m perfectly happy with Nurse as our coach, now it’s upto the front office to steer us in a proper direction (I also have complete faith in them).

Look how much he’s bounced around? If he were better he would have stayed with one team. /green

He is overrated.

I'm not seeing the logic or strong statistics that back this up. He might turn out to be a decent bench player though.

Nurse is a good coach but his flaws this season are largely not his fault. The talent is simply not there.

The biggest issue with him is his rotations and not expanding the rotation early on. But what makes him a good coach or why people say he's a genius or whatever is because he tries different things and doesnt hesitate.

A major gripe for most nba head coaches right now is that they do not like or make adjustments that are significant. Nurse is the opposite of that

He’s not perfect but he’s damn good coach. What he did with our team last season with out Kawhi was amazing. He has his faults like any coach does but he is at worst a to three coach in this league if not the very best coach in this league.
