Wouldn’t he though? Their TPE is the biggest one in NBA history

$28,500,000 is the TPE

drmmond makes $28,751,775

nba allows you to fudge up to $250,000

so the tpe falls short $1,775 dollars

Lol damn. There’s probably some way around that. $1775 is basically pennies in the NBA

Well, not as bad as Baynes, but overrated on this board. I am not sure the last 5 games he started was trade bait or he really deserved to be a starter in a contender team.

Baynes has dreamt about having a 7'5.5'' wingspan his entire career.
Baynes wishes he was born in freaking '98 and could jump out of the gym
Sorry, who is that Baynes 2.0 character you are referring to?

True, however Allen wishes he could shoot like Baynes.

Plus whatever the Celts give them for Drummond.

drummond doesnt fit into the TPE by $1500

Also, I think Boston wants to avoid getting near the repeater tax troubles. Could they use the TPE in the summer and avoid a year in the luxury tax? If so, I think that's what Ainge has planned.

Thankfully, being 12 years younger than Baynes, Jarrett has a very promising shooting-form

They’re going to have to max Allen. He’s not a max player imo

They lost the 2nd best player in NBA history for nothing and rebuilt in basically 2 years. When they are healthy there isn't much difference between them and the Raptors. By next year they will be definitively better and still have real upside.

For all the people who think a rebuild takes 7 years and if you don't get the #1 pick you are screwed.

None of those guys will ever be all stars in their career how will they better then the raptors? That' team right their screams treadmill

Sexton is averaging 25 on over 50% shooting so far and just turned 22 last week.

Garland is averaging 17 and 6 assists and he’s turning just 21 later this month

Allen is averaging 11 and 10 in 26 minutes and he’s just 22

At the same age of these guys both siakam and Fred were still balling in college

To say none of these guys will ever be all stars at this early stage of their careers is foolish

So TPE doesn't let you fudge by 125% + whatever?

Hmm, too bad, I was wondering about a Lowry trade to the Celtics for that TPE. Lowry makes $30.5 mill.

Under appreciated talent..

Not only that, dude has to move from Brooklyn to Cleveland...

I don't understand why the Nets gave him up so easily if the Rockets didn't even want him.

prince has to be part of trade to make numbers work, no one wanted him. makes 12.5 this season and 13 next year.
so they had to dump prince on the cavs and sweeten it with allen.

thats why the return seems so light, just the bucks 1st + 2nd.
exum 9.5 was traded for prince 12.5
allen was gotten using the TPE from clarkson trade.

cavs took about $16.5 million incoming this year send out 9.5 million. plus 13 mil for prince next year+allen extension.
