Like I said earlier, Nick Nurse and this organization is simply not committed to "Tanking". They added Birch, and played Siakam and OG today (when they should be resting). Such a shame, but this organization wants to make the playoffs. Pointless to talk about Cade and Suggs anymore.

This is exactly why I never got excited about the draft. We aren't getting a good pick.

Don't wanna hear any Masai is tanking talk.

edit: Oh and we're for sure beating the Magic and Thunder this week. Huge loss for the tank.

Birch, Siakam, OG, Flynn and Boucher in our starting lineup. No backup point guard, no roster balance and no GTJ, Lowry and FVV. What a powerhouse lineup we fielded tonight. Nurse and Masai showed tonight they are really going for it.

We got lucky with Kawhi and got our championship.

Need to accept that MLSE and management wants to get back to 50ish wins, a couple rounds of playoff revenue and avoiding luxury tax. That's what they're gunning for.

(I'm just bitter, don't take me seriously)

Seriously just a complete waste of time.

Should have known when he mentioned the whole "this team deserves to compete" bs post trade deadline.

Yeah bro, this team deserves to compete NEXT season after we add a high lotto pick player. :nonono:

This g league center and Birch are temporary. The player we're getting with this pick is long term with potential to have crazy impact.

They're gunning for a play in tournament birth to get whooped by the Nets or Sixers.

No need to add center depth this season. None whatsoever. Masai has been showing treadmill tendencies. idc

Hope he isn't under the delusion that another Kawhi situation is ever happening again for us.

You're in for one hell of a disappointment. For perspective sake:

Duncan's rookie numbers
21pts, 12rbs, 3ast

Well Duncan played all 4 years of college...Cade is coming out as a freshman and I would suspect a big man will have better rebounding numbers.

A fair comparison will be Cade's fourth NBA season lol soooooo

Whatever dude. Look through the years yourself. Find as many Duncans in as many years as you want.

We added Khem Birch and a 23 year old undrafted G-leaguer. Are you being serious right now? I am amazed with what I am reading in this thread. We rested three of our starters tonight.

I'd love to lose a few more games at this point but some of you guys have lost your mind.

They added a g league center because they needed to fill that roster spot and signed Khem Birch who has never averaged more than 5.5 points in a single season in his career.

What are you smoking? They didn't have three of their best five players playing. The loss is on the Spurs failing.

Yeah, i honestly didn't expect Birch and Freddy G. to make any difference at all. The only un-tanky move Nurse made was not bringing back Stanley in the second half. But otherwise, I was fine with his rotations.

Spurs were on the last game of a five-day road trip. They just ran out of gas in the second half.

Didn’t address my point. There was no reason to add Center depth this late into the season. For what reason? Play in tournament aspirations obviously.

You're right, the raps should only dress 4 players and play 4 on 5.

We play all our starters big minutes. Lowry wasn’t traded and instead will help us compete. We added two big bodies when Baynes was doing great as the tank commander.

This team isn’t tanking. We’ve lost despite their treadmill tactics. Once Fred and Lowry are healthy watch them go even harder to get a chance to get whooped by the nets.
