I would think Pascal would need to be involved for a Beal deal. If Kawhi says yes to come back in condition for Beal, you make that trade.

Kawhi is not going anywhere. He left a potential repeat champion to go home to LA. If he wanted to win, he would have signed with the Lakers. He went to LAC because he knew they organization would go along with anything he wanted, especially after they traded all of their future away for him. He'll re-sign in LAC, with a NMC.

The stars that will probably be available this summer are: Beal, Simmons (if Sixers don't make it out of the East - most likely - Morey was not brought in to sit on his hands), McCollum (if the reason the Blazers picked up Norm was to be his replacement - frees them up to move CJ for talent), Kyrie (if they don't win and need to add depth)

Kawhis not eligible for a supermax, can only be offered if he was drafted by that team. He can get the 10 year vet max which is about $25 million more than the 7-9 year vet max. I'm not sure on the time of when he can sign this deal.

Very few players qualify for a supermax contract. First, only a player that has (or will have) completed eight years of NBA service by the end of his current contract is eligible to sign a supermax deal, which can only be offered by the team that drafted him or traded for his rookie contract.
