Bucks finally waived Diakite. I hope Masai adds him, even though our roster is already so packed. 6'9 with a 7'3 wingspan, on a young stretch 4 that we can develop along the lines of Boucher.

First-year G-League stats:

18.5pts 10.4reb 2ast 2.1blk 58%fg 50%3pt 75%ft

Looks like a player who never met a shot he didn't take.

Thunder claimed him;

Should be become available again, he seems like an interesting player and the 6' 9" certainly fits in with what we appear to be doing;
Didn't realize he was turning 25 this season.

Hello, all! Nets fan here.

Here is a deal I've been tweaking this evening. I think I balanced the value exchange fairly for all sides with incoming picks for Brooklyn. Please let me know your thoughts:

https://fanspo.com/nba/s/nets/trades/qugQ1boMCEK5Q6/big-shake-up-brk-gsw-tor

BRK trades Irving/Harris/Claxton for Van Vleet/Anunoby/Boucher/22GSW1st/23TOR2nd/25CHA2nd
The Nets trade starpower for two-way role players while trimming payroll and restocking future picks.
Van Vleet, Harden, Anunoby, Durant, Griffin
Mills, Brown, Millsap, Boucher, Aldridge

GSW trades Wiggins/Wiseman/22GSW1st/25CHA2nd for Siakam/Harris/Claxton
The Warriors go all-in to contend.
Curry, Harris, Siakam, Green, Looney
Poole, Lee, Porter, Bjelica, Claxton

TOR trades Siakam/Van Vleet/Anunoby/23TOR2nd for Irving/Wiggins/Wiseman
The Raptors revamp with an electric #1 option, an athletic swingman and an elite bigman prospect.
Irving, Trent, Wiggins, Barnes, Wiseman
Flynn, Dragic, Mychailiuk, Achiuwa, Birch
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

That is not even remotely close to fair value, and it's flat out nonsensical for the Raptors

What exactly are the Raptors doing after this trade? That's a tanking roster + Irving. Wiggins is a negative asset. Wiseman was awful in his rookie year and then tore his meniscus. If the Raptors wanted to do a total teardown we could do way better.

Warriors and Nets both make out like bandits.

so with all due respect to Birch, we still have a hole at the center position. Has Precious gained 20lbs yet?

to Dall: Dragic
to Pacers: Brunson + Moses Brown + Powell + 2nd RD pick Raps
to Raps: Turner

>We all know why Dallas does it
>Rick C knows Brunson and Powell by heart and there is a lack of PG shooting backup at the Pacers and Brogdon gets injured a lot. Brunson looks ready to start games.

Don't see any hole at C position. Raps don't plan to play with traditional lineups in any case.

If Myles Turner only costs us Dragic and a 2nd I am 100% down.

only because that reported Brunson + Moses Brown + Powell for Dragic would be a robbery of the highest order.

I think all Raps fans would be down with that, but IND can get a better return than Brunson + SRP as the framework.

Brunson is pretty good but likely a backup PG, and is looking for a pay raise.

Dragic and Trent for Porzingas.

Fred
OG
Pascal
Barnes
Porzingas
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

It feels like there's something in the works for a legit big guy. Gary just doesn't strike me as a Raptor long term. Goran wants to join his countryman.

Are Raps waiting to see how Porzingas looks in the first month of the season? When can Gary be traded - the beginning of November?

I think it is December 15th. I agree that those two are the Raptors most likely to be traded. Dragic is obvious. But Trent’s deal feels like a pure ‘retain the asset’ type deal because if he earns it, he opts out after year two and you can’t extend him until after two years. After two years, he is either a dead weight expiring who opted in or a UFA expecting a huge deal.

If Porzingas looks goodish but Dallas underperforms maybe this is a possible deal but I was just throwing it out there.

I could also see the Trent, Dragic plus pick combo for a better player in a win now move or the two for a more dead weight contract in order to get picks and young players in addition. There are many directions to go building a trade around those two and perhaps Boucher thrown in too.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Yes, it is Dec. 15, unless Gary fits into this category:
If the signing of a new contract with a “Bird” or “Early Bird” free agent causes a team’s team salary to exceed the salary cap and the player’s first-year salary in that new contract is more than 120% above the player’s salary in the prior season, then the player may not be traded until the later of 3 months after they sign or January 15.

https://cbabreakdown.com/trades

Raps used Bird rights to re-sign Gary, but I think we were already over the cap by signing (then trading) Kyle. Not 100% sure, tho'.

If Raps plan to be in the playoffs and compete, they need a legit big. But is Porzingis someone who can at least attempt to cover Embiid? He can pull him out of the paint, which may be all Nurse wants. But I'm totally down with just making it an experimental year and seeing what the 6'9ers can do. Even with Baynes, we did a good job locking up Embiid in that pair of games in Philly last season.

The Raptors have a timeline and Kyrie doesn't fit the timeline. He could call his quits at any point. And OG won't get traded unless the Raptors receive an elite 2 way player in his prime. If the Raptors contend it will be in 3-4 years and Irving might be retired by then or declined. Raptors would easily decline this trade.
