There's literally no point in saying "screw it" to the tank at this point
It's very clearly in this teams best interest to try and acquire a high end prospect as currently constructed this is a treadmill team
just suck it up for this last few weeks of the season and quit crying about it

The team is not going to get a top 5 pick though. The fans are in la la land thinking that is going to happen.

and why's that?
We are within a game of teams like Washington, Cleveland, OKC all of which we have a MUCH harder remaining schedule then, which could potentially drop us to 6th worse record overall best case scenario..
at which point we have almost as good odds as anyone for top 5!
even if we don't finish that low, the lower the better odds at a higher end prospect.
The alternative? finish 10th and have to first win consecutive games just to get a chance to get beat down I'm the 1st round? be out of the lottery? lose our chance at a top prospect in a deep draft?..
That would literally be a total nightmare outcome and make this horrible season even worse, all because we can't just continue to suck a bit for a few more weeks?

The point is we have zero control over the outcome. We’ve played plenty of trash lineups these last few weeks. Our best players have taken games off without cause. You can’t expect the guys in the court to just “throw” the games. If they win, they win. Allow people that modicum of happiness.

To draft the next Marvin Bagley III. The draft is a crap shoot as it is anyway.
So you don't think Dan Tolzman can draft a good player with a high lotto pick? If so don't, because he's probably the best talent evaluator in the league and he's been the reason we've had so much draft success.
In recent years you have a Devin Booker at 13 or a Donovan Mitchell at 13 or years ago a Giannis Antetokounmpo at 15, Kawhi Leonard at 15 or a Paul George at 10. I trust the Raptors be able to find talent to your point. The team is not a complete dumpster fire like it sounds like many people wish they were. Get ready to draft in this range.

We have a great management team. We won a championship recently, something we never thought would happen in our lifetimes. Just enjoy the ride and stop stressing out over each result.

You think the 9th pick is going to produce a much better prospect then the 15th pick
The higher the pick the better the odds. Exceptions aside that's what the numbers prove. Also 9th place in the draft has a 20 percent chance of going to the top 4, a non lotto pick has zero chance.
The Magic have been in the lottery 6 out of the last 8 years and have never moved up. The odds are that you will not move up obviously.

#10 and #13 are lottery picks.
