Fate of our upcoming draft pick, when do you consider trading it?

It seems pretty obvious that we’re pulling the plug on our best players in favour of securing a high pick but the motive behind this pick may not be to draft a prospect with high upside.

A few weeks back there was an interview w/ Bobby where he listed a number of assets that we could move - he very intentionally added the draft pick to that list. As much as we’re all looking forward to the excitement that comes with a high pick (I’m looking forward to it just as much as the next person), there’s a very plausible outcome that involves this pick getting traded for an all-star.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Masai/Bobby wait until lottery to see if our pick lands in the top 2, if we are anything 3 and under they will most likely put the pick on the table to net a star. How would you feel about this? Under what circumstances does it make sense to keep/trade this pick?

Really depends on what the return is, but I wouldn’t consider the draft pick untouchable.

Far too early to think about this considering we won't know where it'll end up. We're in a position where we need to upgrade the overall talent on this team big time so I doubt it gets traded unless a big talent falls in our lap (doubtful).
